Silence looked at the reports, over and over again. It seemed like an impossibility, Normally, medical records like these would be kept private, she knew better than to be ignorant that Rhodes Island would make such findings like these as public.
Especially because of the uproar it would cause, and truly, did it cause an uproar when it was leaked.
From the rumors she has heard, there was a mishap with assigning the operator to the wrong room, leading him to end up in a rather public one.
His data showed that not even a single micrometer of his body possessed originium, showing all of his levels at a complete zero.
It was a never seen before case, it meant that his body either had been living in an area with no catastrophes, no energy source, and split away from civilization entirely.
Even then, all of Terra had bits of originium in their air, seeing how catastrophes had once raged across the land constantly without end in the ancient eras.
Moving on, the other implication was that his body had some way of defending itself from originium, and destroying or removing it from his body entirely.
It was a complete game changer. Silence's hand gripped the documents as she mulled them over. She wasn't willing to stoop to the level of Rhine labs, but she wanted to at least know how the man, operator Gojo, had kept them at such an abysmal level.
'Was it body structure? Evolution? Race? Technique?' Many theories ran through her head, as the third one had come from the fact that Gojo had no race listed. Wait-no? It was listed as Aegir now? Did the newly printed files have updated information compared to before?
Shaking her head, she moved on to the fourth theory, from what she had heard from Ceylon; a person who she had been recently having discussions with, the white haired man possessed a "technique" which used "cursed energy."
Whatever that meant, it was different from arts, and one of the applications that the pink haired Liberi had noted was that he could prevent any object from approaching him. The other medical operators stationed in the H ward have theorized his lack of originium particles to be due to his technique preventing any from entering his body...
But then that meant he had to have it on permanently during his birth, and some people have noted that he had let down the barrier many times before.
Besides, many operators have reported seeing Gojo carrying a shard of originium with his bare hands. It is illogical and completely absurd that somebody like that could have no originium in their body with such obscene recklessness.
In conclusion, the previous possibility didn't seem plausible, so her thoughts lingered upon... Cursed energy.
The accursed aura that surrounded the man, causing many misconceptions and rumors about him all across Rhodes Island.
She had witnessed it once in the mess hall, having been half asleep while trying to eat her meal. But she was rudely awakened when he first stepped into the room with the Penguin Logistics girl.
It reminded Silence of some of the worst memories she has experienced within her lifetime, before she had nearly instantly adapted to it. Even the Liberi was unaware of how she was able to get used to the presence so quickly. Although, the presence it still gave off was unsettling.
With a sigh, Silence placed down the folders as she removed her glasses to rub her eyes. Especially since she had a certain girl to attend to...
Ifrit was impatiently swinging her legs as she scribbled on a piece of scratch paper. Silence noticed how her homework was... Unfinished and singed.
