What if: Cale had been a phoenix and the best friend of a certain sleep loving dragon?

Rasheel was a young dragon who treated everything a nuisance he just wanted to sleep and hibernate for a very long time without anyone disturbing him.

He had already received his attribute after going through a growth phase. And spends his days leisurely sleeping inside his cave. However unlike any other day, he went out of his cave to see the blooming forest below.

'Just another boring day...'

Rasheel stared at the vast forest in front of his cave, not many humans would come in this place, and not many dragons would pass by here either.

And yet, he felt this day was different, he couldn't actually say why, he just felt like this day was different than the rest.

"Hello"

Rasheel heard a voice behind him, he turned around, eyes widened, he didn't know why a sudden voice was suddenly behind him when the entrance to his cave was on a mountain cliff.

His questions were answered when he turned around to see a young man with bright red hair floating against the wind and scarlet colored wings that seemed to be burning and causing a flame.

"Are you a dragon?"

The boy asked, Rasheel looked at the boy in front of him which perched on a tree root that was dangling on the dangerous cliff.

'A bird?'

Rasheel thought the boy in front of him was someone from the bird tribe who were hardly seen nowadays and would just often stay far from the eyes of the world.

"Why the fuck are you in my territory?"

Rasheel frowned, regardless of this boys race he was still trespassing his territory. The boy only looked at him and casually shrugged his shoulder pinning the blame on him.

"Well I use to come to this place often and I have never seen you here so I thought no one lived here"

Rasheel saw the bow come down the tree root and landed on the ground in-front of him. Despite being apart of the weakest tribe this guy seemed to not have a terrified bone in his body.

"Sorry for disturbing you, the names Cale"

The boy raised his hands towards him seemingly asking for a handshake. Rasheel looks down at the boy and arrogantly turned his head around.

"Leave if you don't want me to beat you up"

Rasheel threatened releasing a bit of his dragon aura to scare the poor phoenix away.

When he turned around the phoenix was unfazed.

"Did nobody tell you? The royal blood of the birds aren't afraid of death, in-fact it's natural for us"

Cale seemed to be giving him a teasing smile, "I already said my name yet you didn't say yours" He walked closely to him giving Rasheel a spook.

'They didn't say the bird tribe was this persistently annoying?!' Rasheel released a sigh and backed away glaring at the punt bird who dared to come close to his mighty self.

"A puny being like you doesn't deserve to know" he proudly huffed, He didn't seem to mind Rasheel's brash behavior and continued to talk to him endlessly throughout the entire day.

When the sun finally said his goodbye, and the moon and the stars illuminated the night, his fiery wings were the only thing that set light to their surroundings.

"Oh, I didn't realize it was late" Rasheel saw the boy glance around and squinted his eyes.

"I did" Rasheel lied, he too didn't realize that time passed by quickly as he was too immersed in listening to the red birds chatter.
