The next morning, Georgia woke up early for her interview. Last night, Ryan had received a phone call from his brother Russell to remind him about the interview. Georgia quickly picked up her clothes and dashed to her room while he was busy with his phone.
She quickly freshened up, feeling embarrassed, thinking about how to face Ryan now. How desperate she'd been last night! He'd feel she was easily available. However, the smell of fresh coffee forced her to open her door and step out. She walked towards the kitchen, her cheeks still flushed with color, not knowing how Ryan would greet her today.
She saw Ryan making scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast for breakfast. The aroma was too good to resist.
"Good morning, Georgia," he greeted her without looking up. Georgia couldn't look away from him. He looked so good, still wearing the same sweatpants from last night. He had yet to find himself a shirt, but who was complaining when he looked too hot to be eaten up instead of the breakfast?
"Good morning, Ryan." Ryan served the food on two plates and carried them outside.
"Can you get the coffee please?" he asked her. Georgia nodded and picked up the steaming coffee mugs. She was at a loss about how he could be so unaffected by what happened between them last night. Didn't it mean anything to him at all?
She placed the coffee on the table and sat down to eat her food quietly. "You're exceptionally quiet today. Are you nervous or what?" asked Ryan, worriedly.
Georgia looked at him in confusion. Was he asking about what happened last night? "Nervous about what?" she asked.
"The interview, of course. What else do you think we're talking about?" He grinned. Georgia blushed and looked elsewhere.
"I've taken all the printouts for you," he reassured her. Georgia nodded.
"Thanks," she mumbled, concentrating on her food.
"Don't thank me. We belong to one another. Right?" He reminded her. Georgia nodded. He remembered!
"You give your best shot and in the evening, we'll go out to celebrate." Georgia's heart skipped a beat with excitement. Were they going out on an actual date tonight?
"It'll be our first proper date." One look at him was enough to know that he was struggling to restrain himself. Georgia was baffled by the easy way she could open up to him, despite what happened last night. All her inhibitions left her, and she relaxed to enjoy her meal.
"You're an excellent cook. Who taught you cooking?" asked Georgia. Ryan bowed with a grin on his face.
"No one. I watched granny and my aunt's sometimes and one day, I could do it all on my own. I just picked up from there."
"Amazing!" said Georgia. Ryan's face filled with happiness.
"C'mon, get ready. Nothing should go wrong today. I want you to get the job. I want us to celebrate it on our first date." Georgia nodded.
"I won't disappoint you, Ryan." They got up together, cleared the table, and quickly completed the housework. Georgia rushed to her room to shower and get ready. After forty minutes, she was ready to wear a semi-formal, off-white, sleeveless, and elegant, A-line dress with a round neckline.
Ryan whistled appreciatively when she emerged from her room. "I hope Glenbrook doesn't fall for you after seeing you!" he said with a chuckle, making Georgia's eyes widen with apprehension.
"Oh! Should I change into something simpler?" she asked with concern. Ryan chuckled as he came closer. He lifted his hand and caressed her soft rosy cheek with the back of his hand.
"You look perfect, baby. I was just kidding," he said, leaning closer to kiss her forehead. Georgia's heart melted at the endearment. She wrapped her arms around his torso. Ryan pulled her closer, and she lay her head against his chest.
"Sorry, I'm crushing your shirt," she said, raising her head. She had to admit that he looked very gorgeous in the crisp white dress shirt and dark charcoal trousers he wore.
"I don't mind. If you didn't have your interview coming up, we would have rolled in the bed a little too," he said with a mischievous grin on his face. Georgia blushed at his implication and pushed him away.
"Should I be wary of Mr. Glenbrook?" she asked with concern.
Ryan shook his head. "Not at all. Glenbrook is Russell's friend. He's happily married with two children and is completely trustworthy," said Ryan, reassuring her. Ryan led her to the parking area of the building and handed her a spare key to the apartment.
"Will you be able to return home on your own after the interview?" he asked worriedly. Georgia nodded. He drove her to Glenbrook Petting Zoo and Farm. It was a huge setup with sprawling tracts full of fresh produce ready to be harvested. She saw the stables teeming with children of all ages, taking turns at the pony riding sessions.
"There's a rehabilitation center too for housing the abused and the rescued animals," informed Ryan, and Georgia looked impressed.
"Wow, I love the place. It's so full of life. Working here should be fun," she said excitedly. Ryan introduced her to Scott Glenbrook and left for his workplace. Scott seemed to be a charming and kind man who cared for the farm deeply. After interviewing her, he inducted her immediately but on a three-month probation. It was fair enough and Georgia was happy.
The whole day she spent at the farm getting to know the scope of her work, meeting all the animals and discussing their conditions. She made friends with the rest of the employees. It was late afternoon when she remembered her date and rushed home in a cab. When she reached home, Ryan hadn't returned yet. Taking a quick shower, she was just about to select a dress to wear when the door to her bedroom opened and Ryan stood there, transfixed, to the spot with his mouth hanging open.
Seeing his line of vision, she suddenly realized to her horror that she was only clad in a towel! Not that he hadn't seen her, but that was under the dim lights of the night lamp. "Ryan, when did you return? I'll just get ready in a minute," she said nervously, grabbing the first piece of clothing she could lay her hands on. She closed her wardrobe and thought of dashing to the en-suite to get dressed.
But Ryan seemed to have other plans. Seeing her freshly showered, damp body with water droplets dripping from her hair and disappearing into the rounded, creamy-soft valley between the breasts, he was greedy with desire. He approached her like a predator towards its prey. Georgia's eyes widened, and she backed away until her back hit the closet door.
"Ryan, we'll be late for our date," she reminded him, but he wasn't listening at all. His dark eyes held her captive while he caught her wrists and pinned them above her head with one hand. His whole body crushed her against the wardrobe, his thick legs trapping her completely.
"I want you, Georgia. I couldn't get any work done since morning. You've tortured me the whole day. Now it's pay time," he whispered hoarsely, his fingers trailing down her hand all the way to her breast, causing her skin to burn with an intense need wherever he touched.
"Ryan, I..." She wanted to tell him how much she missed him, but he wasn't in the mood to talk. His lips crashed into hers, swallowing the rest of her sentence. Without wasting a single second, he plunged his hot tongue deep into her mouth, devouring every recess hungrily, passionately. Georgia's skin crawled with a need that matched his desire. She moaned into his mouth, surrendering herself to him. Her arms went around his neck to support herself but her jelly-like legs failed to do so.
The kiss was wilder and more passionate than it was last night. Ryan cupped her breast, kneading it as his mouth and tongue plundered her sweetness, tugging, sucking, licking, unable to get enough. It was all he had been thinking about since last night when she left his room.
It took all his willpower to control himself. He had wanted her to be well-rested, stress-free and calm before her upcoming interview. Now that Russell had informed him of the good news that she was selected, he could afford to take their kiss to the next level. The towel loosened and fell, leaving her totally exposed to his lust-filled eyes.
Ryan picked her up in his arms and carried her to her bed, forgetting all about their date!
