နတ် ဆိုတာက "နထ" ကိုးကွယ်ရာလို့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ရပြီး မူလစကား ဒေဝ Deva ၊ ဒေဝတာ ကို နတ်ဒေဝါလို့ ခေါ်ရင်းကနေ နတ်လို့ အလွယ်ခေါ် နှုတ်ကျိုးလာတာပါ၊
A Deva (देव Sanskrit and Pāli, Mongolian tenger (тэнгэр)) in Buddhism is a type of celestial beings who share the god-like characteristics of being more powerful, longer-lived, and, in general, much happier than humans.
နတ် Deva တွေဟာ သုံးဆယ်တစ်ဘုံမှာ အထပ်ခြောက်ခုနဲ့ နေထိုင်ပါတယ်၊ အထပ်လို့ ပြောရခြင်းက
အပေါ်အောက် vertical တည်ရှိတယ်လို့ ကျမ်းတွေမှာ ဖော်ပြထားလို့ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊

တစ်ခု စဥ်းစားမိတာက Universe တွေ Solar System တွေ Galaxy တွေ Advanced Civilizations ကြီးတွေအကြောင်းကို ကမ္ဘာကြီးလုံးတယ်ဆိုတာတောင် မသိသေးတဲ့ ရှေးလူတွေ မြင်အောင် အထပ်တွေပုံစံ ပုံဖော်ပြောခဲ့တာ ဖြစ်နိုင်ပါတယ်၊ အပေါ်မှာ ပိုစွမ်း ပိုဝေးတဲ့သူတွေ နေကြပြီး အောက်မှာ နိမ့်တဲ့ species တွေနေတဲ့ ပုံစံပေါ့၊ ဘာသာရေးနဲ့နွယ်နေလို့ ဘယ်သူစပြောခဲ့တယ်တော့ မပြောတော့ပါ။
နတ်ပြည်ခြောက်ထပ် နတ်တွေကလည်း သူ့ အဆင့်အတန်းနဲ့ သူပါ၊ ပထမထပ် စတုမဟာရာဇ်နတ်ပြည်နဲ့
ဒုတိယထပ် တာဝတိံသာနတ်ပြည်တွေကို အောက်နတ်ပြည်များ Lower Heavens လို့ သတ်မှတ်ထားပြီး သူ့အထက်က နတ်ပြည်လေးခုကိုတော့ အထက်နတ်ပြည်များ Higher Heavens တွေလို့ ခေါ်ပါတယ်။
အောက်နတ်ပြည်က နတ်တွေဟာ အကြီးဆုံးသိကြားမင်းက စပြီး တချိန်လုံး အောက်က ဘုံကမ္ဘာတွေနဲ့ စပ်ဆက် ဝင်ပါ ဝင်ညှောင့် ပြဿနာတွေတက်၊ စစ်တွေဖြစ် ရှုပ်ရှက်ခတ်နေသလောက်၊ အထက်နတ်ပြည်နတ်တွေက သူတို့ဘာသာ သီးသန့်နေထိုင်ကြပါတယ်။
