The sounds of shoes hitting concrete were drowned out from the echoing shouts of desperation. Those who were infected clanged and gripped the steel fences as they attempted to make their way through.
The Lungmen guards, dressed in black riot gear and some highlights of blue on their uniform banged their batons on the fence, causing the immigrants to release their grip in a pained yell.
Amongst them, a particular group of three made their way through the crowd, easily dispersing them as they moved forward.
What was most notable was that all people within the range of a meter in front of the group were pushed away, trying to enter it only made their movements slow down to what seemed like infinity.
Head inspector Ch'en felt her gaze being drawn to them, profiling their every move as they made their way through.
'Must be them,' she took in the sight of a man wearing a peculiar unbuttoned white higashi robe, as the large sleeves flowed behind the arms relaxed in his pocket. He walked in a lofty posture, not turning his gaze to the crowd now drawing their attention to him.
Behind him trailed two individuals dressed in attires that were the trademark of Rhodes Island, a short Cautus girl and a relatively tall man whose face was blocked by a visor and hood.
Her eyes tensed as the energy emanating from the tall one in particular felt in a way she could only describe as completely and utterly negative.
She had to fend off the itch to draw her weapon as she attributed it to his arts side effect or something of the like. Rhodes Island did hire infected people after all.
Ignoring the display, for now, Ch'en called to one of the guards to open the gates to let the awaited guests in.
Nodding in response to her, a guard brought a black riot shield in front of him, as he moved to carefully and slowly open the gate when the group had made their way to the entrance.
Casually stepping through, Gojo stepped to the side as he motioned with his left hand for the other two to move in front of him.
The infected crowd behind the still couldn't move past the gate, something she deduced to be an extension of the white haired man's arts.
The guard standing letting them in seemed to be slightly hesitant as he spread them a look, as the gate shut.
'Amiya, the Doctor, and...' recalling their names, Ch'en paused as she didn't know who the third person leading them was. A message was sent in from Kal'tsit, as stated by Wei, sending a guard operator to watch over the two new arrivals. 'The message should have at least listed a name...'
Heaving a sigh through her nose, she moved forward to greet them. "You're all fourteen minutes late," Well, not exactly a greeting.
"Sorry, some complications came up and as you can see..." Amiya spoke up as look at her with an apologetic expression.
"It doesn't matter at this point, we have a meeting to attend. Guards, open the secondary gate!" At her message, the second gate behind her started to open at her words. "Oh, and I forgot to mention, who is that person with you?" She pointed to the man in the white robes.
"Me? Name's Gojo Satoru," the man, now named Gojo, raised his right hand in his standard greeting pose, as his exotic eyes seemed to stare right through Ch'en.
Amiya and the Doctor looked at him in confusion, as he did not use his operator codename, but rather his full name. Granted, his operator name was just his family name.
"I see them, come with me, all of you." He seemed a bit too casual for her professional attitude in this situation, but she decided to let it go. This Gojo person didn't seem to be a part of the conversation they would have with Wei Yenwu, so she didn't think much of him aside from the negativity he radiated.
