A couple weeks later, they moved into their new place, Jungkook still kept his old place unbeknownst to Yoongi. He bought them brand new furniture, telling Yoongi that he was wanting a change anyways.
The weekdays came and went and soon it was the weekend, and the day of their housewarming party.
Jungkook and Yoongi were currently at the grocery store gathering their needed supplies and some things they needed for home.
"I'm gonna go look at the wine again, I think I want to get one more of each one we got." Jungkook said before he kissed Yoongi and walked away.
Yoongi walked around until he found himself in the cereal aisle, where he unexpectedly ran into Namjoon.
"Yoongi? Min Yoongi?! Wow! I—" Namjoon exclaimed, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Joonie... wow! You look good! How have you been?!" Yoongi replied, his face lighting up as they pulled away from a warm hug.
"Good! Wow, I can't believe this! And you look amazing... how have you been?" Namjoon asked, his voice full of genuine enthusiasm.
"Good—!" Yoongi started, but then he turned slightly as Jungkook joined the conversation.
"Baby, I just got two more bottles of each—"
"Baby! This is a friend from high school! Kim Namjoon," Yoongi said, holding Jungkook's hand firmly.
Namjoon looked at Jungkook, a smile spreading across his face. "I know you... the bar—"
"Oh! Yes! We met at a bar after work one night," Jungkook said, glancing at Yoongi.
Yoongi raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. "Wait, you two know each other?"
"Just from that one night," Jungkook clarified, feeling a hint of tension in the air.
"Oh! Well... We're having a housewarming party tonight! You should come! And you can bring a plus one if you'd like," Yoongi suggested, trying to keep the mood light.
Jungkook clenched his jaw as he watched Namjoon blush, a wide smile on his face as he looked at Yoongi, his eyes sparkling with interest. Jungkook's jealousy flared, burning in his chest.
"Yeah, that sounds great!" Namjoon replied, his excitement palpable. "I'd love to come. It'll be nice to see everyone again."
"Perfect! It starts at seven," Yoongi said, his voice bright. "We'll have food, drinks, and it'll be a great time!" He said before handing his phone over to Namjoon.
Namjoon nodded and smiled as he pushed in his number, once he was done he focused on Yoongi again, ignoring Jungkook's presence. "I'm really... happy for you guys. It's great to see you both so... settled. You deserve it."
"Thanks, Joonie. That means a lot," Yoongi said, his smile warm and inviting. Jungkook felt the tension rise again, an unspoken weight hanging in the air as he watched Yoongi and Namjoon just stare at each other for a moment.
"Anyway, I should let you get back to shopping," Namjoon said as he blushed and looked away from Yoongi before glancing between the couple. "I'll see you both tonight?"
"Absolutely!" Yoongi called after him, waving as Namjoon walked away.
As soon as Namjoon was out of sight, Jungkook felt a rush of emotions. He turned to Yoongi, trying to keep his tone light. "You know, I didn't realize how close you were with Namjoon still."
Yoongi raised an eyebrow, confusion etched on his face. "I mean we were friends in high school and we dated for a while, but we just lost touch after graduation. It's nice to see him again though. But you two knowing each other... that's unexpected."
