Samaksh sat in his office, nervously tapping his pen against the desk, trying to find the right words to explain his current situation to his best friends.
Shivam and Dhanush.
The moment he dropped the bomb that he was in love with Yuvika, both of them burst into laughter, their voices echoing through the cabin.
Dhanush, always the more animated of the two, wiped tears of laughter from his eyes. "Wow, Samaksh Jaiswal! Tujhe puri duniya mein yahi ladki pasand aani thi, jiske teen mushtande bhai hain?!"
He slapped his knee, still chuckling.
Shivam leaned back in his chair, smirking with his infamous half-smile that always seemed to carry a touch of mischief. "This is gold, man. You really picked a battle."
Samaksh sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Galti kardi maine tum dono ko bata ke socha, dost hai madad kar doge. Lekin nahi, kisi ne sahi kaha hai—har ek friend kamina hota hai."
He pointed at both of them, annoyance clear on his face. "Aur tum dono sabse bade wale kamine ho."
Shivam shook his head, still amused. "Okay, Dhanush, stop laughing. Dekh raha hai na banda pareshaan hai."
Dhanush, trying to catch his breath, managed to calm down—barely. "Accha, accha. Toh kya madad chahiye, Samaksh? Lekin ek baat bata doon—agar madad ke naam pe hume kurbaan karne ka plan hai, toh pehle se bata diyo. Main toh pehle hi underground ho jaaunga."
Samaksh rolled his eyes at Dhanush's dramatic reply, while Shivam kept his usual stoic face, though the smirk hadn't completely left.
"I want to confess my feelings to Yuvika," Samaksh said, his voice steady but carrying an underlying worry.
Dhanush immediately perked up. "Toh problem kya hai? Bata de!"
Samaksh groaned. "Lekin kaise? I don't know where to start."
"Flash, flash, use your mouth, buddy. It works," Dhanush said, grinning.
Samaksh shot him a sharp glare, causing Dhanush to throw his hands up in mock surrender. "Okay, fine! No more jokes, I promise."
Shivam, leaning forward this time, said seriously, "Just tell her, Samaksh. What are you waiting for?"
Samaksh hesitated. "I don't know, man. I mean... she's different. Pata nahi vo mujhe pasand bhi karti hai ya nahi."
Shivam, unfazed, shrugged. "Aise baithe rehne se kuch nahi hoga. Just go and confess. Jab tak tu usse apne dil ki baat nahi batayega, tab tak uske dil ki baat kaise pata chalegi?"
Dhanush, nodding in agreement, added, "Yeah, he's right. Zyada se zyada kya hoga? Reject hi karegi na? But at least you'll know what she feels."
Samaksh stared at his friends, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "Kabhi kuch accha mat bolna, manhoos insaan," he muttered at Dhanush, who simply scoffed in response.
"Fine," Samaksh finally said, a new determination settling in his chest. "I'll tell her. And wait for her response."
Both Shivam and Dhanush nodded in approval, their teasing smiles softening as they saw their friend's resolve.
Samaksh stood up, more certain than he'd been moments ago.
He had made up his mind—he would confess his feelings to Yuvika, no matter what.
As he left the cabin, Dhanush leaned over to Shivam. "Yeh jo banda abhi gaya hai na, ya toh pyaar mein fail hoke wapas aayega, ya phir hero ban ke."
