The villain's presence was suffocating. His dark aura radiated outwards, the pressure making the very air around you feel heavy. The chaotic sounds of battle faded into the background as you focused on the enemy standing before you. He was tall, with sharp, angular features and eyes that gleamed with cruel intelligence. Shadows seemed to writhe around him like living creatures, pulsing with ominous energy.

Shoto stood next to you, his right hand blazing with fire, his left coated in a sheen of ice. His mismatched eyes narrowed as he sized up the villain. You could feel the tension radiating off him—the weight of his responsibility, his promise to protect.

"You kids really think you can stand against me?" The villain's voice was low, mocking, as he slowly stepped forward. The shadows around him surged, dark tendrils spreading across the ground like an inky tide. "This will be over before it even begins."

"Not if we have anything to say about it," Shoto muttered, fire and ice flaring simultaneously in a show of power.

You tightened your grip on the earth beneath you, feeling the connection to the forest as your magic pulsed through the ground. The trees around you seemed to tremble in response, as if they too could sense the approaching threat. You swallowed hard, forcing the fear down. This wasn't the time for hesitation. You had trained for this. You had prepared for this.

The villain's shadowy tendrils shot toward you, swift and deadly. Without missing a beat, Shoto countered, sending a wall of ice crashing forward, freezing the advancing shadows in their tracks. But the ice didn't hold for long. The tendrils shattered through the frozen barrier, breaking it into jagged shards that scattered across the ground.

"Y/N!" Shoto called, his voice sharp with urgency.

You didn't need any more warning. You thrust your hand toward the ground, calling on the roots beneath the soil. The earth trembled in response, and thick, gnarled roots exploded from the ground, wrapping around the shadow tendrils, holding them at bay. The villain snarled in frustration as the forest itself seemed to rise against him.

"Impressive," he hissed, his eyes locking onto you. "But you can't hold me forever."

Shoto didn't wait for the villain to make his next move. With a determined glare, he surged forward, launching a blast of fire toward the villain. The flames roared through the air, bright and fierce. But before they could make contact, the villain's shadows coiled around him like a protective barrier, snuffing out the flames in an instant.

Shoto cursed under his breath, skidding to a halt. "His shadows... they're absorbing everything."

You narrowed your eyes, trying to analyze the villain's power. His quirk seemed to be tied to those shadows, feeding off them, growing stronger with each attack. If you couldn't break through his defenses, this battle would drag on, and the longer it did, the more dangerous the situation would become.

The villain's eyes gleamed as if reading your thoughts. "You're out of your league," he taunted, his voice dripping with arrogance. "But don't worry—I'll make this quick."
