Can you hear me?

I bolted upright. My eyes are wide and my heart beating in my chest. I looked around my dark room. Did I fall asleep?... I didn't mean to. I just wanted to close my eyes for a few minutes before we all left to see the Green Steves again. We visit them once a week now. Their visits were always filled with joy and excitement. I love seeing them... and after these few weeks. They have enjoyed me as well.

I took a few seconds to catch my breath, letting my beating heart slow down in my chest. Letting my hand rest over it. I... something wasn't right about that.

A knock. I looked over at my door. Slowly I got up of only feet and opened the door. I looked up at Origin. He was standing there looking down at me with a small smile on his face.

"Are you ready to go?" He asks me calmly. I nodded.

"I'm ready, sorry I took so long." I apologized and stepped out of my room. I was already fully dressed and had all my things gathered. I just wanted to lie down with the free time we had beforehand

"It's alright, the weather isn't very nice today either. I don't blame you for wanting to stay inside instead." He turns to the long hallway looking where the door lies. Raindrops standing on the glass. Even inside here, I could hear the pouring rain. I liked the rain, but not much standing in it. The sound of it had always been relaxing to me.

"It's not, but at least the activity we had planned with them is already supposed to be indoors." I acknowledge. I looked out and around for Genesis, but he was nowhere to be found.

"Where is Genesis?" I asked him. Origin smiles and shakes his head.

"Outside. Where else?" We both laugh with each other. There is nowhere else he would want to be when it rains. Lying on the ground and letting the raindrops fall on his antlers and face. We both went to the door and opened it. Seeing what I imagined in front of me. His antlers lay on the grass and dug into the dirt. His one eye closed as he was perfectly content under the rain. The grass around him was taller than the rest of the grass in the immediate area. It's impossible to pull him out of the rain when he is like this. We have all tried to do it with him, but I find myself getting too cold. Origin can stay out with him for a while. That's when I usually write in my journal about our experiences. It's on rainy days when the two of them can spend time together while I spend time for myself.

"Genesis! We need to get going!" I called out to him. He sits up slowly and groans.

"No!" He groans with a long no. I laughed a little at his behavior.

"I thought you wanted to see the Green Steves with us." Origin walks over to him letting his hair and clothes begin to dampen from the rain. He helps Genesis up onto his feet.

"I do, but the rain just feels so nice." He sighs. "I can't wait to see them! Maybe some of them will want to join me!" He comes over to us. Origin pulls me out of the door and out into the rain.

"We will have to see, let's get going before we all get soaked." Origin takes us to the Green Village once we are all close to each other. In the blink of an eye, we were in front of the town square of the Green Village. The rain was even worse here as it felt pounding against my head and back. The wind rushing through the town made me shiver. Origin wraps his arms around me before pulling us away to the house we were supposed to meet up in. We went inside quickly Origin making sure I got in first, then Genesis.

"You all came? I'm surprised!" One of the Green Steves spoke to us.

"Of course we did, a little bit of rain isn't going to stop us," I told them, though inside I couldn't shake the cold they clung to my skin. One of the Green Steves came over to me and gave me a towel.
