The forest had grown darker since the confrontation with Shoto. In the days that followed, you had spent more time wandering through its depths, avoiding the edge where the city lay. The trees, with their twisting branches and ancient roots, felt like the only place where you could truly be yourself, away from the judgment of others. But even here, in the heart of the Dark Forest, you couldn't fully escape your thoughts. Shoto's words still haunted you, replaying in your mind like a broken record.

You sighed, sitting under your favorite tree, the bark rough against your back. The wind rustled through the leaves, carrying with it a faint, familiar energy—one that always calmed you. You pressed your hands to the earth, trying to feel the pulse of the forest, but today, even that seemed distant. No amount of magic could take away the confusion and hurt that lingered in your chest.

A rustle in the bushes nearby caught your attention. You sat up, your senses alert. It wasn't unusual for animals to pass through the forest, but something about this movement felt different—intentional.

Then, you saw it.

A bird, small and swift, fluttered toward you. Its feathers shimmered strangely, almost like they were glowing with a faint blue light. You blinked in surprise. It wasn't an ordinary bird. You recognized it immediately—it was a messenger.

Your heart leaped. You hadn't expected any contact from the outside world. The bird swooped down, circling you once before landing delicately on the ground in front of you. A small scroll was tied to its leg, its paper sealed with the unmistakable emblem of U.A. High School.

You froze, staring at the scroll in disbelief. U.A.? What could they possibly want with you? You had always dreamed of becoming a hero, of using your powers for something greater, but you had always been told that the powers from the Dark Forest didn't fit into the world of heroes. Your abilities weren't classified as quirks, and society had always looked at you with suspicion because of that.

Slowly, with trembling hands, you reached out and untied the scroll. The bird fluttered off, disappearing into the trees as quickly as it had come, leaving you alone once again. You unrolled the parchment, your eyes scanning the elegant handwriting.

"Y/N,

We are pleased to inform you that, after reviewing your unique abilities, you have been selected to join U.A. High School as a student in the hero course. Despite the unorthodox nature of your powers, we believe that you have the potential to contribute greatly to the hero society. Your acceptance into our program represents a step toward expanding the understanding of what it means to be a hero in today's world.

We hope to see you at the academy for the start of the new semester.

Sincerely,

U.A. High Administration"

You stared at the letter in shock, reading it again to make sure you hadn't imagined it. U.A. High wanted you? A mixture of excitement, disbelief, and fear bubbled up inside you. U.A. was the most prestigious hero academy in the country, the place where the best of the best trained to become pro heroes. And they had chosen you—despite your differences, despite everything.

You stood up, clutching the letter tightly. Your mind raced. This was your chance. A chance to prove that you weren't just some strange outcast from the Dark Forest. A chance to show everyone—including Shoto—that you were more than what they thought. You could be a hero.

But as the initial rush of excitement faded, doubt began to creep in. Could you really do this? Could you fit in with the other students, most of whom would have quirks and abilities recognized by society? Would they accept you, or would you just end up as the strange girl from the forest all over again?

Your thoughts turned to Shoto. He had been training to become a hero for as long as you'd known him. He was strong, determined, and focused, but he had also struggled with his own demons, especially when it came to his father. And now... now there was a rift between you that felt impossible to cross.

You wondered what he would think if he knew about your acceptance into U.A. Would he be proud of you? Or would he still see you as someone too different to fit into the world of heroes?

You shook your head, trying to push the thoughts of him away. This wasn't about Shoto. This was about you—your future. For so long, you had felt like you didn't belong anywhere. But U.A. was offering you a place, a chance to belong, to make a difference.

You took a deep breath, folding the letter carefully and tucking it into your pocket. There was still so much to figure out, so many questions swirling in your mind. But for the first time in what felt like forever, you had hope. Hope that you could build a future where you didn't have to hide your powers or feel ashamed of where you came from. A future where you could be something more.

The forest around you seemed to come alive with the possibility of change, the wind carrying whispers of new beginnings. You stood tall, determination flickering in your chest. This was your moment.

You were going to U.A.

And no one—not even Shoto—could take that away from you.
