The soul society, a place full of souls waiting to pass on and the ones who guide them- all should be peaceful and balanced but that is far from the truth; a few generations back a large war raged between soul reapers, those who purify souls and kill hollows, and the Quincy, soldiers who erased the souls of hollows from existence, it was both a battle for and against balance and eventually one side won; the soul reapers. For years after, quincy were hunted and eradicated until only a few remain- one who hid and two twins grabbed from their home and taken by a man more curious about knowledge than he was caring for life. Kisuke Urahara, a brilliant scientist and the creator of the hogyoku that granted soul reapers the abilities of hollows and vice versa. However one experiment Urahara created never got to see the light since that was his plan- beings powerful enough to destroy the hogyoku if it ever fell in the wrong hands and arguably the most relatively impossible feat he ever pulled off- allowing a being Quincy at birth, the powers of a hollow without it destroying the user; he was able to pull off this experiment twice with a set of twins, they soon escaped and his greatest shame was freed upon the world causing him to be charged and become a wanted man who fled himself after being discovered. Urahara never expected to see the fruits of his labour flourish and yet when the ghosts of his past appear once again to right his wrongs he feels truly nothing but relief.

Ichigo's POV
School had just ended, the day was done and thankfully it was time to go home- my name is Ichigo Kurosaki and for as long as I could remember, I've been able to see ghosts, it was an annoying power but parts of my day made me feel a little better especially when I'm given the chance to help. I was on my usual walk home when a group of boys or thugs really knocked over the memorial for a poor girl that died there, I could see her ghost crying and scared so I decided to help.
Me: " Oi! "
Thug: " What do you want, strawberry? "
Me: " You knocked over that poor girl's memorial, pick it up and apologise "
Thug: " Pfft why would we do that? "
I pulled out my phone and began counting between them, three of them meaning three ambulances.
Thug: " Why are you counting us, scared of how many of us there are? "
Me: " No just wondering how many ambulances I should call for you "
Thug: " That's it "
They rushed me, wildly swinging and leaving themselves open, they seemed slow and it only took one kick each to knock them down as they crashed with the floor rather violently.
Me: " Now pick it up and apologise to her! "
They scrambled up and fixed the memorial, apologising on their hands and knees to it before rushing off down the street.
Me: " that's better now right? "
Ghost Girl: " Yes, thank you "
Me: " No worries "
Third person POV
Ichigo began to head home, he seemed distracted or just spaced out as he began to head through the front door- the first thing he was met with was a kick to the face from his dad and that sparked a back and forth between the two of them before his sister who could sense spirits but not see them pointed out that a new one had appeared in the house spooking Ichigo.
Later that same night, Ichigo was sat up in his room at his desk, having just eaten- he began to study before a light gust of wind blew his curtains and the small figure of a black butterfly caught his attention as it entered his room and suddenly became a woman dressed in a black and white uniform and a sword resting at her waist. Ichigo was caught off guard and thoroughly confused, he began shouting at her to get her attention but she seemed to ignore him as if she assumed she couldn't be seen- it was only when he touched her shoulder that she jumped and acknowledged he could see her.
