Gaurav and Nilanjana lay on the bed, a comfortable distance between them, staring at the ceiling in the dim light of the room.

The air was thick with the warmth of shared secrets and newfound intimacy.

After pouring his heart out to her, Gaurav felt a strange sense of lightness, as though a burden had been lifted off his shoulders.

She turned her head slightly towards him, her eyes searching his face as she asked, "You told me everything, but you didn't tell me why you married me."

Gaurav chuckled softly, his lips curving into a playful smile. "You won't stop until you get the answer, right?" he teased, knowing full well how determined she could be.

She nodded eagerly, her curiosity piqued.

He took a deep breath, collecting his thoughts. "Okay, fine," he began, his tone softening. "When I first saw you in my class, I was completely spellbound by your beauty. But it wasn't just that. Over time, I noticed how you were always so focused, so dedicated, always with your head buried in your books. That dedication made me curious about you, made me want to know you more."

As he spoke, she listened intently, her gaze never leaving his face.

There was a quiet sincerity in his words that tugged at her heart. "With time," he continued, "I became accustomed to your presence in my class. It was like you were a part of my everyday life. And then, on those rare occasions when you'd look up and accidentally meet my eyes, those moments became the highlight of my day. I'd smile like an idiot, thinking that finally, you noticed me."

She could see the smile playing on his lips as he recounted these memories, and it made her smile too.

She hadn't realized just how much he had admired her, how deeply he had been affected by her presence.

The fluttering in her stomach was a new sensation, a mix of excitement and nervousness that made her heart skip a beat.

She was falling for him, in a way she hadn't expected.

He paused, lost in his thoughts, and she frowned slightly.

"Why did you stop? Please, bolte rahiye," she urged, her voice soft but insistent.

Gaurav looked at her, his eyes twinkling with affection. "Looks like my wife is keen to listen to me," he said with a mischievous grin, and then, with a playful wink, he added, "I didn't know I could be so interesting."

Her cheeks flushed a soft pink at his teasing, and she couldn't help but smile.

The way he winked at her sent a wave of warmth through her, making her feel a tightness in her stomach that she couldn't quite explain.

There was no denying it—he looked incredibly handsome when he did that, and it made her heart race just a little faster.

In that moment, lying side by side, sharing pieces of their hearts, they both felt something shift between them.

After a few moments of comfortable silence, Gaurav broke the stillness.

His voice was soft yet steady as he said, "You know, you were the most brilliant student in class. I used to eagerly wait for your assignments just so I could look through them."

He let out a small laugh, the sound light and genuine.

She smiled, an enchanting smile that lit up her face.
