I set my water bottle on the nearby table, slipped into my slippers, and stepped out into the parking area.
Empty. Just… empty.
“Where the hell did he go?” I muttered. Two minutes ago, he was right here, and nowvanished.
Then I spotted it ,the sleek black Rolls-Royce, gleaming under the morning sun. A smirk tugged at my lips. Looks like karma loves me today.
I plucked a hairpin from my hair, letting my blonde waves tumble down my back, and slid the pin carefully in front of one of the tires. Crossing my arms, I admired my work.
“Hmm… satisfying,” I muttered.
But no, that wasn’t enough. He messed with Elena Arora.
I bent down, grabbed a stone, and etched a bold lip shape on the car’s hood. Below it, in letters large enough to be seen from a mile away:

Someone was banging on my door like they were trying to break it down. I groaned, burying my face in my pillow.
