                                           Cade
"God damn, she drives me crazy."

In this life, I wasn't usually feared. I am not the kind of person who can give a smile or hug someone if they feel bad. Rather, I will simply enjoy every negative emotion and tear. That was until this crazy woman walked through my office door. And even if I can't be afraid of everything , it is this that scares me. Not her. But the fact that Melissa is silent.

This means that either my wife is thinking of how to kill me with the knife she managed to snatch from my hands or she has resigned herself to the fact that I simply carry her in my power. I think knowing her, I will soon die. How sweet.

"I would never have thought that you could keep quiet." I chuckled.
"Thinking about the perfect murder of you." See.I told you.
"Good luck. By the way, have you gained weight?" And then I felt a sharp knife digging into my shoulder.

The muscle in my shoulder trembled from the force of the blow, but feeling the precision of the blade already leaving my body sent pain through my skin, forcing me to stop. There were only 10 minutes left until my penthouse, but that could wait. I squeezed her ass harder in my hands, hearing a hiss.

"I was kidding." Rolling my eyes, I continued on my way, feeling the blood running down my back. "If you do that again, I'll throw you out on the highway."

"You were too brave to joke about weight with a woman like me." I felt her brazenly wiping the blood on the blade of the knife on my expensive suit. "Don't worry, I'll stitch up your wound when you finally let me go."

"Are you worried about me?"
"I rather not want you to die before you tell me your full plan."
"So you agree?"
"If only you give me guarantees, Cade."
"Stop calling me that, Melissa!" I barked.
"But I don't want to call you what I called my husband." She persisted. "And don't you dare call me Melissa. She died 10 months ago and Charlotte was born."

Something squeezed my chest too hard. It was this that caused the hatred towards the woman who was special to me. The moment she disappeared, I knew that there was nothing left between us. Until the moment we met. It was this that became the catalyst for becoming enemies. This brunette betrayed me and as soon as I use her for my own purposes, I will take revenge.

"What guarantees are you talking about?" I asked anyway, opening the door to the huge building. I. Absolutely. Don't. Care. About. Her. Words.

"Ha." I heard, already entering my own elevator that would open in my penthouse. "You want to take revenge on me for running away, but you need me for your plan. You must guarantee me that you will let me go after this. I mean you will give me a divorce."

My eyes gleamed possessively in the elevator mirror, wishing Melissa were just a little bit dumber.
"Did you really think I would be so naive?" I was still silent as I entered the spacious hall. The elevator doors didn't even have time to close before my hands put her on the ground.

"So what now?" Melissa turned on her heels, looking at me. "You want to lock me in your penthouse?"
"Perhaps." A smile touched my lips.
"I agree." She snorted, throwing the knife between us. "I'll use you as my obedient puppy again."

I grabbed her by the throat with all my strength, imitating the same position outside the restaurant. So small, so fragile, pressed against the elevator doors. "Are you sure it will be like this?" My fingers deftly tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "You are too weak in the hands of a man."

"Cade, Cade, Cade." She emphasized my fake name. "You still haven't gotten to know me or understood me in the last 5 years of our marriage."

"What are you talking about?" I watched as Melissa deftly pulled something out of her hair. Until the gold from the hair clip began to glitter between us in her hands in the light above us. I swallowed.
