The once-disjointed group was beginning to function more like a team, thanks in large part to the daily practices led by Ken Sudō and ayanokoji kiyokata.
Sudō had taken on the role of the number one coach with surprising enthusiasm he was eager to help his classmates improve. Whether it was offering tips on form or pushing them to work harder, Sudō seemed to thrive in this environment.while ayanokoji was helping others as a support coach.
"Come on, push harder!" Sudō barked at Ike, who was struggling to keep up with the pace. "You're not gonna get faster if you keep slacking off like that!"
Ike grumbled but put in the extra effort, knowing better than to argue. Sudō wasn't just a loudmouth-he was actually helping them get better. It was hard to admit, but Ike had to respect the guy.
Meanwhile, Yōsuke Hirata had taken on the role of strategist. He held regular meetings with Kōhei Katsuragi from Class A, discussing how to best approach each event in the festival. Their conversations were always professional, focusing on tactics and ways to ensure mutual success without stepping on each other's toes.
Suzune Horikita, on the other hand, was still struggling with a particular event-the three-legged race. She was determined, but something about the synchronization required in the race kept tripping her up, literally and figuratively. After another stumble during practice, Kiyotaka Ayanokōji decided to step in.
"You're not pacing yourself with your partner," Kiyotaka observed calmly as he approached her.
Suzune frowned, her frustration evident. "I know that, but it's harder than it looks."
Kiyotaka stood beside her, taking the place of her partner. "Here, try it with me. Focus on matching my pace, not the other way around."
They tied their legs together, and Kiyotaka set a steady, deliberate rhythm. Suzune struggled at first, but as they moved, she began to catch on. By the time they reached the end of the track, she was starting to get the hang of it.
"Better," Kiyotaka said as they untied the rope. "Just remember, it's not about who's faster. It's about moving as one."
Suzune nodded, her frustration giving way to determination. "I'll get it right next time...-"
" Thank you"
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the practice field, Kiyotaka found his thoughts drifting to Kikyō Kushida. Her influence on Class D was undeniable-everyone liked her, trusted her, and confided in her. But Kiyotaka knew better than to take her at face value. Behind that cheerful exterior, there was something darker
All the classes had been keeping an eye on each other, doing reconnaissance on their competitors. However, the most crucial information was the participation tables, which detailed who would be competing in each event. Every class was careful not to let this information slip, knowing it could make or break their chances.
Later that day, as the students were packing up to head home, Kiyotaka approached Suzune. "I need to discuss something with you," he said, his tone casual but purposeful.
Suzune looked at him with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. "What is it?"
"We need to do some reconnaissance on the other classes," Kiyotaka explained. "I've already asked Kushida to join us tomorrow morning at ten."
Suzune raised an eyebrow. "Why do I need to be involved? You know I'm not exactly on friendly terms with Kushida."
"That's precisely why you need to be there," Kiyotaka replied. He leaned in slightly, lowering his voice. "Think back to the special exam on the cruise ship we might have won but i suspect Kushida could be of use to us."
