After a gruelling session of earthbending with toph that Aang had to endure and escaping a library with valuable information on how to stop the fire nation and being attacked by an angry owl like spirit, the gaang had encountered a new problem
Appa was gone
"How could you let them take appa?? Why didn't you stop them?" Aang yelled
"I couldn't! The library was sinking! You guys were still inside and.."
"You could've come to get us! I could've saved him"
"I can hardly feel any vibrations out here, the sand benders snuck up on me, there wasn't enough time for—"
"You just didn't care!" Aang yelled "you never liked appa! You wanted him gone!" Aang spoke
"Don't take your frustrations out on toph aang" Hisane frowned as she grabbed onto the earthbenders hand
"Aang" Katara spoke, placing a gentle hand in his shoulder "you know Toph did all she could, she saved our lives"
"Who's gonna save our lives now?" Sokka questioned as he stood over the vast plain of sand "we'll never make it out of here"
"That's all any of you guys care about, yourselves. You don't care about whether Appa is okay or not." Aang stormed off
"We're all concerned, but we can't afford to be fighting now" Katara reasoned
"I'm going after Appa" Aang frowned, flying off despite kataras protests
"We have to start walking" Katara spoke "we're the only people who know about the solar eclipse we have to get that information to ba sing se"
"Dyou think if we dig out the giant owl he'll give us a ride?" Sokka asked
"After you knocked it out? I highly doubt it" Hisane spoke
"Darn.."
"Can't you watch where you're..."
"No." Toph reminded Sokka
"Right, sorry"
"Come one guys, we've gotta stick together" katara reasoned
"If I sweat anymore, I don't think sticking together will be a problem" Sokka sighed as Hisane grabbed onto tophs hand once more, the earth bender pushing Sokka away
"Katara, can I have some more water?" The child asked
"Okay but we've gotta concerve it" katara spoke as she gave Sokka Hisane toph and momo water
"We're drinking your bending water?" Sokka questioned as he smacked his lips "you used this on the swamp guy!"
