Omashu had been taken over by the fire nation by the time the gaang arrived
"I can't believe it" Aang sighed "I know the war spread far but Omashu always seemed...untouchable.."
"Up until now it was" Sokka spoke "now ba sing se is the only great earth kingdom stronghold left."
"This is horrible" Katara frowned "but we have to move on"
"No. I'm going in to find king bumi"
"Aang stop, we don't even know if bumis still..."
"What? If he's still what?"
"Alive." Hisane finished sokkas sentence as she brought a hand to her head "This sucks" she grumbled
"I know you had your heart set on bumi, but there are other people who can teach you earthbending" Katara spoke
"This isn't about finding a teacher, this is about finding my friend"
"A secret passage? Why didn't we use this last time?" Sokka asked as the seat water nearly knocked him off the mountains
"Does that answer your question?" Aang smiled
"Aang there is no way I'm going in that sewer sludge" Hisane shuddered as Sokka grabbed her arm and forced her in, Aang and katara preventing from getting covered in it whilst Hisane used Sokka as a shield
"That wasn't too bad" Katara hummed
"It was horrible" Hisane grimaced as she whacked off some of the sludge, a weird gooey monster enraging from the sewers which turned out to be Sokka who had two weird creatures in him
"They won't let go!" He screeched as he tried to pull them off his cheeks
"Stop making so much noise!" Aang said as he tackled the water tribe male
"It's just a purple pentapus" the airbender hummed as he removed the animals from his cheeks by scratching them
"Hey! What are you kids doing out past curfew?" A soldiers voice spoke causing Hisane to turn around
"Sorry we were just in our way home"
"Wait. What's the matter with him?"
"He has..Pentapox sir! It's highly contagious" Katara nodded as Sokka outstretched his arms in a zombie like manner "Awh! It's so awful I'm dying!!"
"And deadly"
"Hey, I think I've heard of pentapox, didn't your cousin chang die of it??"
"We better go wash our hands, and burn our clothes!"
