BACK IN NYC...

My parents came last week and I told them about me and Billie. Thay said that they saw some speculations about us in a plane. My face was fully blushed and they laughed because they maybe know what we did. Today is 21 August and we are having lunch in my kitchen.

- What about the long distance?- asked Belen.

- We'll deal with that.- I said sadly.

- Do you trust her?- asked my dad.

- Do I have another option?- I said looking at my food.

- Ok, changing topic, what about baseball, when do you start?- asked my mom that noticed me a little low.

- 5 September.

- Melissa said that Yankees want you- said Alma.

- What? And why didn't she tell me anything?

- Mel don't want you to leave.- Said Alma eating her salad.

- Girl wth, I'm not leaving, and obviously not with Yankees.- I said standing up and cleaning my plate.- My team will always be my team, I'm not going anywhere.

They smiled at me and I called Mel to ask her about that Yankees thing.

- Why didn't ya tell me that the Yankees wanted me on their team?

- Emm... I mean, don't be mad at me, but I don't want you to go to another team.

- Darling I'm not going anywhere. Dodgers will always be my team.

- Mom, dad, I'm staying at Mel's, feel free about going around the city.

- Dad it's 4 pm, I'm not leaving already.

We all laughed and sat in my couch to see all together my last match and find out mistakes to improve next time.

Like that time passed and it was time to leave. I drove to an apartment nearby central park and got inside the elevator. Pushed the button, 16 floor and waited while scrolling through TikTok. My heart stopped in a video, someone posted me and Billie kissing and asking to be a couple. This can't be possible. I have to call Billie and tell her.
