"Thank you all so much for coming here tonight. We really appreciate your presence.. Enjoy the rest of your evening." I said and went down the stage.

Dan was right, this restaurant just needs a little touch of music. :))

I feel proud of myself. I feel...

Amazing!

I went over to Dan and Amy and did a high five with Nicola on my way to the counter.

"Cindy. You did a really awesome job today." Dan beamed at me.

I smiled and tucked a stray hair behind my ear. "Yeah. Thanks for giving me the opportunity, Dan."

Amy hugged me in a motherly way and pat my back. Amy, by the way is Dan's girlfriend. Sorry for not introducing her earlier. I guess I haven't noticed.

"You should go home now, Cindy. You still have your classes tomorrow morning, right?" Dan said while cleaning the bar counter.

I argued to help them clean the restaurant but I lost at it. In the end, they pushed me towards the door and kicked me out, telling me I earned to sleep early tonight.

So I just grabbed my jacket and bid them goodbye.

"I did it." I told myself when I reached the park across my apartment.

"Ash, I did it.. I did it.." I told the air around me and smiled.

I was hopping like a child on my way home when I felt someone was following me, so I turned around to see the guy who approached me at the restaurant now standing not five meter away from me.

"Hi?" He waved shyly.

"Hello." I curiously waved back.

He walked towards me and stood in front of me. I stared him. And we fell silent for a whole minute before we both laughed at ourselves for looking like an idiot.

I cleared my throat and offered my hand. "I'm Cindy. I'm sorry I didn't caught your name earlier at the restaurant..."

He held out his hand and shook mine.
"Thomas. Thomas Sangster. Nice voice and great playing by the way."

I didn't know why but my heart flutters with his compliment and without knowing it, a smile has formed on my lips.

"So... are you going home now?" He asked awkwardly.

I cleared my thoughts and nodded my head.

"I guess I'll just see you at school, then?" He says while playing a smile on his lips.

I just nodded my head again since I still can't stop myself from staring at him. There's just really something about him that makes me stare at him.

You know that feeling?

Like.. Ugh! How do I explain this..

Uhm, let's start with his eyes, they're like the most adorable eyes I've ever seen in my life. His hair, it's arranged to somewhat like a cartoon or anime guy. And the perfect inclination of his nose.

And... And... And HIS LIPS!

I squinted my eyes and pursed my lips as I try to recall where I've seen such a beautiful lips.

Those lips.. Like a mischievous plan is always on the mind of its owner.

They're somewhat like the smile of PeterPan..

Wait a minute..

That's it!

He is the human version of PeterPan!

WOW.

I mean. Wow.

PeterPan came out of movie.

I must be dreaming...

I came out of my reverie when someone cleared a throat and then I suddenly realized it's him and that I have been staring at him for too long.

Oh my Gosh, he caught me staring at him. This is embarrasing. I thought and dropped my gaze to the ground.

"It's okay. I get that a lot." He chuckled.

I looked up, embarrased. "W-What?"

"The stares." He says, casually. "I get that a lot." Then he smiled.

I couldn't say a word so I just smiled awkwardly at him and bid him goodbye.

But when we were about to part ways, he cleared his throat AGAIN and pointed at my hand which I realized was still gripping his. I immediately let go and flushed tomato red.

Thomas genuinely smiled at me, ruffles my hair and walked away.

"See you at school, Cindy!" Thomas shouted before he rounded the corner.

Wait.

He said, "See you at school."

Does that mean he knows me?

_______________
Morning came and I got up a little late.

I rushed to the bathroom, took a quick bath, brushed my teeth, rummaged through my clothes and ran out of the house.

Thankfully, my teacher was not yet in the classroom when I got to school. So I just pulled out my iPod and doodled in my notebook while waiting.

That was until someone sat beside me, pulled my earphone and stuck it into his ear.

I was so ready to shout at him when I faced him and realized who he is.

"Hi." He says while smiling at me.

I smiled back and when I realized what I have done the night before, my smile quickly faded and I went back to doodling on my notebook.

"Sam Tsui huh?" He said out of nowhere.

I smiled at him and went back to doodling again; afraid that he'll remember how I made myself an idiot in front of him last night.

"I was thinking bout you, thinking bout me, thinking bout us, what we're gonna be, opened my eyes, it was only just a dream.." he suddenly sings which made me look at him. Not because he knows the song, but because of the sound of his voice.

It was magnificent.

He brought life to the song, like he was the one who recorded it instead of Sam Tsui.

Suddenly, Thomas stopped singing and grinned at me.

"How was it?" He asks.

I furrowed my eyebrows and asked him."What is?"

His face turned from grinning to a worried one. "My voice. Was it okay?"

I put the top of my pencil to my chin and made it look like I was trying to weigh my answers and he scooted a bit closer to me and nibbled on his fingernails like he was really nervous.

"It was.. Great.." I answered after a minute.

He let out a sigh and bumped his head on the table. And I actually laughed at his reaction.

He lifted his head up and stared dumbfounded at me. "Why are you laughing?"

I grinned at him. "You're just hilarious!"

"Oh." He says and joined me for a smile.

And since that moment on, The day Thomas Sangster became my bestfriend commenced.

Everyday since then, we have hung out and created a lot of memories together, we went into 'get-to-know-each-other' stage, had breakfast, lunch and dinner at each other's houses, took most of our classes together for the rest of his high school life and then went into same university to study college, learned each other's secret and taught each other almost everything we knew.

Apparently we'd grown quite fond of each other's harassment and persistent nature - not that I'd given him much choice. He approached me, and he was mine - cute little bugger that he was, messed up life and all.
