Back Story

First - thank you to anyone who is reading this.  This is the first story I've ever written.  As a new writer I do appreciate any comments you wish to leave and if you like the story please vote as it increases the story's visibility for others.

Now for my back story.   Feel free to skip this chapter and go on to the book if you want.

Yes I was in a religious group that many people call a cult. A lot of things that happen to my main character Lee Lou in this are drawn from what I saw friends go through or I went through. There were early marriages due to teenage hormones, most married before they turned 21.  Divorce was highly frowned upon.  

We were discouraged from further education or to associating with anyone outside the faith. Parental authority was strongly enforced, sometimes physically or with deprivation of liberty.  We were told not to go to anyone outside for help because it would bring reproach on God's name.  Some of us rebelled and paid the price.  We were disowned by family and friends and like myself were put out to start again in the world having no real idea how it worked.

It got me wondering what would have happened if one of them had met a famous F1 driver while rebelling. What would happen when it was found out. 

So to all my girls who are still in, I miss you all and I hope you found happiness but come to me anytime you need help. I'm always in your corner even though you hurt me every time you see me and pretend I don't exist.

To those of you I don't know who are rebelling, reading Wattpad stories and wiping your browser history I see you. It is possible to not only exist but thrive in the outside world. Don't give up and go live your dreams. It won't be easy at first but I promise it gets so much better.

Now to the disclaimer. This is a fan fiction. It is total fiction. None of this ever happened and I don't know any of the real people who feature in this story.
