JJ Buckley was many things, organised was not one of them.

They'd moved into the house early November, and JJ's room still wasn't finished. She had everything she needed, she had lots of new decor that needed setting up.

All of her pictures and decals sat in a box on her desk, and her bed wasn't in the place she wanted it. It was a mess.

Which is why, Sophia, May and Kiara were on their way over to help their friend.

JJ would rather be spending her Saturday doing anything else, but she knew this needed to be done.

"We're here!" Sophia exclaimed, walking through the house. JJ walked out of the kitchen to greet her friends, noticing one of them was missing.

"Where's Kie?" She asked after hugging them both.

"Her mom changed her mind last minute and told her she couldn't come because "studying is more important" apparently." Sophia rolled her eyes.

"There's soda in the fridge and chips in the pantry if you're hungry-" Before she was finished, both girls had taken their shoes off and headed to the kitchen. "Not surprising." She mumbled to herself.

"This kitchen is huge." May looked around in awe. "Well, Dad always complained that the apartment kitchen wasn't big enough, so of course he found a house with a kitchen bigger than my bedroom." They all laughed.

"Master Chef Buckley," Sophia added, getting laughter out of them once again.

Once they'd finished eating, May turned to JJ with a grimace. "How bad is your room? I love decorating but I know how messy you are." JJ gasped, hitting her lightly on the arm. "It's not that bad!" Sophia laughed loudly. "It's bad. But we'll get through it in no time."

"As long as we have Taylor Swift on to motivate us."

"Hey, Dad." JJ picked up the phone. "Hi, sweetheart, how are you getting along?" He questioned. "Uh, Okay, we've set up my record player and we're about to move my bed and put the rug down." She told him, nodding to May when she asked if the record player was in the right spot.

"That's good, do you want me to bring you guys milkshakes over? I've just finished, I can bring Eddie, and we can move the bed for you, Chris is at a sleepover." He asked.

"My god! Yes please!" She groaned, happy to have someone else do the work for her, and for free food. "You girls want your usuals?" He questioned, getting yes' in response. "Okay! See you soon." He replied. "I love you." She told him. "I love you too."

Milkshakes were the girl's favourite thing to get when they hung out. It was tradition.

When Buck and Eddie arrived, the girls, plus Buck, stood back as Eddie moved JJ's bed to the corner, because he was the strongest.

Buck heavily protested at that statement, but he still stood back and watched Eddie. Well, more like gawked at Eddie.

"Buddie is real," Sophia muttered to the girls as Buck and Eddie began setting down JJ's new rug under her desk/next to her bed, Buck laughing at something Eddie had said.

"Stop it." JJ snorted, catching the men's attention. "What are you three gossiping about?" Buck teased, his eyes on May, as she was the easiest to break.

"Nothing." She avoided his gaze. "If you say so." He hummed.

JJ watched as everyone began setting up her decor. She watched Buck and Eddie squabble, and her heart filled with joy. She saw how happy Eddie made her Dad, Eddie made him lighter and happier.

"JJ!" Buck exclaimed, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Tell Sophia that this poster looks better next to this one." Buck held up two posters, which Sophia made a noise at, holding up another one, showing that her choice was better.

"I think that they all look weird together." Eddie joined in, making JJ agree. "You're right." She took the poster from Sophia's hand and put it on the wall above her record player.

It was a Taylor Swift poster, so it made sense that it was put next to her record player. "That does look good." May sipped her strawberry milkshake.

"Then put that one." She pointed to the one in her Dad's left hand. "Next to my desk, and the other one by my closet." Everyone nodded, agreeing with her suggestion.

"Eds, can you help me stick my family photos up, I can't reach far enough above my headboard." The nickname slipped out of her lips so easily, making the man's lips form into a smile. "Of course."

As the pair put up photos, Eddie paused when JJ passed him another one to put up. He and Chris were in this photo. The photo was one Buck had taken after they'd gone to see Santa.

After JJ had jumped on Eddie's back, making him carry her back to the car, Buck had snapped a photo the moment both JJ and Chris threw their heads back in laughter. Eddie had a wide smile on his face, laughing along with them.

It was a beautiful photo.

"You-you printed this one?" He asked, stumbling over his words in shock. "Of course, you're family." She replied, not noticing the look on his face. "Family." He whispered, sticking up the picture with a smile.

It was around six pm when everyone left. Buck and JJ looked around her room with smiles. "We did good." JJ nodded in agreement. "Thank you, Dad." She hugged him tightly.

"Woah, what for?" He questioned, wrapping his arms around her. "Giving me everything I ever dreamed of." He smiled, blinking away the tears that gathered in his eyes

"I love you, sweetheart, you deserve this and so much more." She let out a choked laugh. "I love you."

The two stayed like that for a while, until Buck's phone pinged. "It's Maddie."

"She's got you those books you wanted because she spoils you," Buck mumbled the last part, chuckling when JJ smiled widely. "She wants to know if we wanna pick them up before her date, as she has work tomorrow." JJ nodded. "Let's go!"

When they arrived at Maddie's, Buck was ranting about the store running out of his hair gel. JJ was only half listening, as Buck went on this rant at least once a month.

It's what he gets for buying the most popular, and most expensive hair gel.

She thought he should just leave his hair curly because it looked better, but he claimed he needed to look professional.

Buck continued to rant when JJ froze in place. The blonde then shouted in horror before rushing forward.

"Uncle Chim!"
