Arjun listened in silence as Andy updated him about the situation. What he heard made him feel uneasy. He looked at the file that Andy had printed for him. The information seemed authentic.
"Are you sure, bachcha?" Arjun looked up at Andy. He trusted his child, but it was a sensitive issue.
"Yes, bhaiyu. That chick... i mean girl is everywhere. Where ever we go she crops up. I know this could be a coincidence, but I could not shrug off the doubt so I had her investigated. Checks out that she was lying all along." He opened the file to a particular page and showed him the records.
"She told us her name was Ria Sharma, but her real name is Jia Mittal. She is daughter of Dr. Ishanth Mittal, the same doctor who died in a road crash a year ago. Remember it was all over the news?"
Arjun stiffened, "Dr. Ishanth Mittal?'
"Yes bhaiyu, the moment I saw the photo I knew it was him. It was such a big news. He was parked at the beach when the truck hit him out of no where. He died on spot. And this girl told us that her father is alive. I am telling you she is an imposter. I thought she was a stalker, but she never once asked about you. She was alwyas wanting to hangout with us, but may be it was all an act to get to you, who knows? People are weird. Isn't she too young to fall for you"
Arjun shut the file. What he heard made him more restless. He knew Dr. Ishanth Mittal personally. He had never met the guys family, but he did not think the man's daughter would have any need to stalk him. Ishanth was a kind soul. There must be more to the story, but what Andy said was right, a coincidence could not happen all the time. The girl definitely wanted something.
"Did she do anything she should not do? Did she make you feel uncomfortable in anyway?"
Andy shrugged his shoulders. He was never uncomfortable around her. he was undoubtably attracted to her, so he was being extra cautious. There was one thing he learned from his training, never to trust anyone blind. He was glad he did not give in to his stupid fantasies. He would rather not fall for a stalker.
