Chapter 27. Meeting someone new

I opened my eyes, looking around, not seeing her beside me. I looked at Aryan sleeping peacefully beside me. We were so tired yesterday that Amaya and she made us sleep in my room, and yet me and Aryan talked the whole night while having them in our arms. I got up, stretching my arms, and before I could do anything else, I heard a scream—her scream. My heart started racing. Did something happen to her?

I quickly got out of bed, and ran out of the room, running downstairs, and saw her standing there, scared. Her eyes were wide like she saw a beast, her hands were trembling and I took a breath walking over to her. At least she's fine but what did she see?

"What's wrong, meri jaan?" I asked, and the next second she looked at me hugging me tightly. I took a breath in and quickly wrapped my arms around her, hugging her back. I'd wake up for mornings like these every fucking day, only for the hugs obviously, not to see her scared like this, but I'll comfort her every single day if I have to.

"Kya Hua meri jaan?" I asked softly, wrapping my arms around her tighter. Her face was buried in my chest like she didn't want to see whatever she saw.

"T-there–" she stuttered, pointing towards the hallway.

"THERE'S A PANTHER IN THE HALLWAY" she screamed, squeezing me tighter. I smiled, realizing what had happened—she saw Kae.

"So?" I asked with a smile. My hand rubbed her back, trying to calm her down.

"I'm scared! IT'S A PANTHER!! Please take it away somehow!" she pleaded, hugging me even tighter. Kae did something good for the first time, thank you so much. Sorry to say Meri Jaan, but Kae, please keep scaring her so you keep hugging me like this. I moved my head down and inhaled her scent, snuggling closer to her. I moved my hand to her waist, holding her tightly.

Besides eating alive humans Kae can make her hug me also, now I don't regret buying him.

I looked down at her, seeing her eyes closed. Even when she's scared she looks so cute. She knows how to be cute in every damn situation doesn't she.

"Give me a kiss and then I'll" I said with a grin. She quickly looked up at me, with widened eyes, as if she's not willing to believe what I just said. Her gaze met mine for a second before she looked away. She doesn't believe my deal does She? But sorry Meri Jaan, if you don't accept the deal, Kae won't go away, and you'll keep hugging me like this, I win either way.

She quickly stood on her tiptoes and kissed my cheek. I pulled her closer, letting her body meet mine. She looked at me, and as soon as she did, I moved my hand down on her ass and lifted her easily. She let out a small scream from the sudden pickup, and my smile grew wider. I walked to the nearest wall, pinning her back there, her legs wrapped around me, my hand sliding up her thigh.

"That wasn't a kiss, meri jaan" I whispered, meeting her gaze. Her face turned bright red, and she quickly looked away. My shy little jaan. I looked down at her lips moving myself even closer to her, pressing her gently but firmly against the wall.

"Let me give you a real kiss" I said, leaning my face closer to hers. I could feel her breath on my lips and it only fueled my intentions more.

I was about to close the gap between our lips. She closed her eyes while her hands were gripping my shirt tightly but before I was about to finally taste her Aryan came out of nowhere "Abey oy—" he started but stopped when he saw us.
