"Lilian, it's about time to start waking up." I hear my Gran say on the other side of the door.

Only if she knew I'd been awake for the majority of the night.

I just rolled over, facing away from the door. It was September First. Most of everyone would be excited about going back to Hogwarts.

After the events of what happened in the previous year, I didn't want to go back.

All I can think about is Professor Fig and poor Sebastian. He's kept me updated during the summer break with his letters.

Anne's had a hard time trying to forgive him for what happened with their uncle. I know Sebastian regrets it every day.

Even though Anne still hasn't fully forgiven him, Sebastian is still attempting to find a cure for her.

I've kept up with Ominis as well. He was very angry at first, and it took a while to calm him down.

He's more understanding of the situation and has forgiven Sebastian.

He realized Sebastian has lost so much already, he doesn't need to lose his friend as well.

I've made sure to keep up with Natty and Poppy as well. They're both doing the best they can, better than Sebastian, Ominis, and myself.

There was another knock on knock on the door, and then I heard it opening it up.

I felt the edge of my bed dip down causing me to look at my Gran. She looked sadden for me, like she knew I couldn't sleep.

It wasn't a secret what all happened last school year. The troll attack, the men after me, the trials, the attack on Hogwarts because of Ranrok.

"I'm not going to ask you if you're okay because I know you're nervous. I promise, this year is going to be better." I sigh at her words.

"How do we know that though, Gran?" I ask. I moved a little so I could see her better.

"I've talked to Professor Weasley. She promises that she's going to keep an eye on you." I don't like the idea of her watching me.

But I do know that there's nothing I can do about it. "You just have to go into this with a positive mind, even if it's fake." I nodded my head.

I sigh as I sit up on the bed, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"I guess I better start getting ready." I tell her. She smiled at me and stood up from the bed.

"Good, you smell." She jokes, trying to make me feel better. I can't lie when I said it didn't work, because it did.

I let out a small laugh as I did. It took me an hour to get ready and make sure I had everything together.

Once I was ready, I ate breakfast with my Gran and we traveled to King Cross.

I couldn't help but think about how this time last year, I was with Professor Fig and the dragon attack happened.

My Gran taught me how to go through Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. I saw a lot of recognizable faces.

I saw Everett Clopton and Amit Thakkar with their parents. Imelda Reyes was boarding onto the Hogwarts Express.

"Lilian!" I hear one of my best friends, Poppy Sweeting, yell. She ran over to me and almost tackled me.

I wish I had her happy go lucky attitude. I made sure to hug her as she did the same for me.

"I'm so happy to see you're back. I was worried you weren't." She admitted.

I looked at my Gran to see she was giving me a 'I told you so' look.
