Chapter 54: New suit, same old Spidey.

3rd POV: (Omniverses)

In the Marvel omniverse, those who were members of the future foundation perked up at what invisible woman (616) said. Why bring back the Future Foundation? What was wrong with the fantastic four?

"Think this has anything to do with what happened at the harbour or with the skrulls?" Nightwing (YJ) asked.

"It could be, but there could be more to it. We don't know the whole history of the fantastic four." Aqualad (YJ) spoke.

"Think there could be infighting?" Ms Martian (YJ) asked.

"What team doesn't have infighting? I mean, remember what we were like?" Superboy (YJ) asked, bringing up the small internal conflicts they had.

"Yeah, but we got over it and made up." Kid flash (YJ) pointed out.

"True, but most of our infighting almost split us all up." Artemis (YJ) added, bringing up a valid point, making everyone remember when they all accused each other of who was a possible mole in their team.

"The past is the past guys, let's just look to the future." Zatanna said, getting everyone to agree and look back to screens.

(Earth 616)

Peter moved to stand next to the invisible woman, leaning on the table where the future foundation suits were laying.

"What brought this on Sue?" Peter asked, curious about her reasons for wanting to revive the future foundation.

Susan storm stared at the ground, idly tapping a finger on her arm as she put her thoughts in order before she turned around and placed her hands on the table and stared at the FF suits.

"Things had been up and down in the fantastic four and everything that's happened recently and with what you revealed...." The mother of Franklin and Valeria paused before reaching for Peter's FF suit and grabbed the Spiderman mask. "I briefly spoke with Reed, Johny, and Ben at the harbour before they took off." She revealed, increasing Peter's interest.

"Did it go well?" The wallcrawler asked, remembering the tensions that were very high at the harbour.

"It went as well as one could expect." Susan Storm answered. "Did you know that when Reed found out that otto was in your body, he didn't say anything because he was jealous of your intellect?" She asked.

"What?!" Peter asked, perplexed.

Reed (TAS, EMH, and WGH) were absolutely baffled by their counterpart's actions. That was such a pathetic thing to do! Whilst TAS and EMH worked with their universe's Spiderman and have seen his intellect, WGH hasn't had the chance to speak with his universe's Spiderman, but from what he could see from the 616 version of Spiderman, he has no doubt that his universe's Spiderman is incredibly intelligent.

All in all, in their opinion, they didn't feel and won't feel threatened by someone who was more intelligent. It didn't matter to them in the end. What did matter was how they would use that intelligence, and it would seem their 616 counterpart used his to become a fool.

"That's exactly what I said." Sue said, chuckling a little at the face Peter made before she frowned. "Let's just say that after that, I threw a punch at him, took my wedding ring off, and tossed it back at him and told him we're done and that I was taking the kids." She briefly explained.

Peter said nothing but did reach out a hand towards his friend and placed a hand on her shoulder. Susan appreciated it, grabbed his hand, and held it in her own.
