The group makes their way up the ramp into the ship's interior, leaving the harsh winds behind. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, a stark contrast to the icy world outside. The ship hums with quiet energy, the technology advanced and unfamiliar to Kal, who marvels at its complexity.
Once inside, they gather in a spacious chamber designed for meetings, the walls lined with soft lighting and comfortable seating. Sol takes a seat, gesturing for Kal to join him.
"Tell us your story," Sol begins, his voice gentle but probing. "How did you come to be on this planet, and what is the nature of your abilities?"
Sol's eyes linger on Kalos, his mind working through the implications of what he's heard. The room is quiet, the hum of the ship's engines the only sound as they process the boy's extraordinary story. After a moment of contemplation, Sol leans forward, his gaze steady and contemplative.
"Kalos," he begins, his voice carrying a weight of careful consideration. "Your abilities are remarkable, and they suggest a strong connection to the Force. Have you ever thought about what you might want to do with your gift? Have you ever considered leaving this planet and exploring other places?"
"I... I haven't really thought about it," Kalos admits, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "I've always been here."
Sol's eyes soften with understanding.
Sol waits patiently for Kalos's response, his demeanor calm and encouraging. "You don't have to decide right away," Sol adds. "Take your time to think about it. If you're interested, we can discuss it further. The choice is yours."
Kalos nods slowly, the weight of the decision settling over him. "Thank you, sir," he says, his voice filled with a mixture of gratitude and apprehension. "I'll think about it."
Sol gives a reassuring smile. "That's all I ask. Whatever you choose, know that you have a place with us if you wish it."
As Kalos walks through the corridors of the ship, the unfamiliar environment fills him with a mix of curiosity and awe. The interior of the vessel is a marvel of advanced technology, with sleek metal walls, softly glowing control panels, and the occasional hum of machinery.
Kalos's exploration leads him to a technical section where he finds Osha and a young Jedi Padawan. The Padawan is hunched over an panel, her face lit by the dim glow of the ship's interior lights.
[System trilling and beeping]
Osha is siting on a table, "Hey, Padawan. You could try repolarizing the power couplings."
The Padawan looks up from her work, nodding as she adjusts the controls. The system responds with a series of whirrs and beeps, indicating that the problem is being addressed.
Padawan: "Thanks. You must be a pilot, then?"
Osha chuckles, her hands still moving with practiced ease. "No. I'm a mechanic."
Padawan: "Wow. That's dangerous. I thought that only R2 droids did the outer ship work."
Osha's smile widens. "Well, any astromech can do the job. But I'm better company than a droid. And, um, way more flexible."
Pip lets out a series of warbling beeps in apparent agreement. Osha pats the droid affectionately. "I'm sorry, Pip. Uh... Pip is also very flexible."
The Padawan raises an eyebrow but doesn't press further. Just then, the sound of approaching footsteps echoes down the corridor. Osha, Cal and the Padawan exchange glances, and the conversation is momentarily interrupted.
Sol appears in the doorway, his presence commanding attention. He strides in with a purposeful demeanor, his gaze sweeping over the room. "Set a course for Olega," he instructs.
Osha's eyes widen slightly at the mention of Olega. "Torbin is on Olega."
Yord, a senior officer with a skeptical expression, interjects. "We're not escorting the prisoner back to—"
Sol cuts him off with a decisive tone. "Osha is coming with us. I believe she can help."
Yord looks conflicted but makes no further objections. "Master, Osha is not—"
Sol's gaze hardens, and he responds with authority. "The Jedi agree with me. Setting course for Olega."
The ship's engines respond with a low, steady hum as they adjust their trajectory. The whirring of the machinery grows louder as the vessel reorients itself, preparing for the new course
