Chapter 20

Hey Guys! Crescent Rider here and I am back with another chapter! But before you all begin, I want to ask you all something. Which servant should I bring in next?

So far, there have been two Servants, and I think I'm ready for a third and possibly a fourth. So feel free to make suggestions, but they'd better be equal to Heteromorphic Races. Otherwise, I'd ignore the rest regardless of how much you want them to be added.

Also, I want to tell you all that a Chapter of my second Overlord Story has been released and it is called 'Lords of the Abyss'. The title sounds cliche, but it'll do unless you guys offer a better title. Please note that I haven't decided on whether the world of that Fanfic is still the same as Overlord's or I make my own...

The Great Lake

After they've reached the deadline, the Lizardmen round up their most courageous warriors, and summon the same number of Swamp Elementals, and five out of six chieftains are present and well-equipped.

Hope watches whilst hidden in between the trees and hears the stomps and drums of [Nazarick's Elder Guarders]. Just behind them was the sound of trees being sliced by Cocytus' halberd and soon the drums stopped as the Floor Guardian came.

"There he is..." Hope muttered,

"Do you think those Lizardmen will win?" Solstice asked through a doll on Hope's shoulder,

"No," Hope replied, "Because they don't have the tools and experience to defeat, let alone kill, a Floor Guardian,"

"Alright then," Solstice said, then Hope heard the sound of popcorn being munched,

"[Ice Pillar]!" Cocytus' spell brings up two large ice pillars, "It may be rude to you warriors who have come here to fight, but let me say this!"

The Lizardmen did nothing but heed the Floor Guardian's words, "From this point on, it is a war zone. Death awaits you once you pass!"

Hope watched as the Lizardmen Chieftains, Two Swamp Elementals, and a few Lizardmen warriors stepped forth to challenge Cocytus. Some of the younger Lizardmen wanted to fight, but Shasuryu Shasha stopped them.

"How thoughtful of him... Keeping the young and stubborn back from the front," Hope remarked,

"But wouldn't including the young increase their numbers though?" Solstice inquired, still munching on some popcorn,

"It would, but the Lizardmen Chieftains and Warriors are well aware that they'll die regardless of their numbers," Hope presumed, "To preserve the young generation, the old and leaders have accepted their fate and face decimation together. As long as the tribe and their people are safe, they'll be content to the bitter end,"

"Sorry for the wait, Cocytus!" Shasuryu apologized, and Cocytus gestured them all to come forth, "Charge!"

The entire army then charged under Shasuryu's word, but this charge meant nothing as Cocytus unleashed [Frost Aura] upon them. This caused the majority of their warriors to stumble and fall. For this skill freezes the weak dead while the rest persevere and sustain frost damage.

Thus, only the five Chieftains and Swamp Elemental remain...

One of the chieftains used a slingshot while another wearing bone armor charged forth with his glaive. Range weapons mean nothing as fully armed Floor Guardians gain resistance against range weapons.

Cocytus drew [God Slaying Emperor Blade] and slayed the second Chieftain down to the middle. Zaryusu charges with a Lizardman with an abnormally large arm, [Martial Art, Iron Natural Weapon]! [Iron Skin]"
