My family has been feared for hundreds of years, possibly thousands. The amount of times someone in my family have hurt or killed someone and never been caught is incredible! The Ministry does not like us, no they don't.

Ever since my fourth-great-grandmother almost obliterated her school, Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry, my family and i have been in hiding. We train every day and every night to fight whatever comes towards us.

We don't know why my grandmother tried to destroy the school, but what we do know is that they never accepted her for what she was, a sorcerer.

You might think there's no difference between a witch and a sorcerer. Well, your quite wrong! A witch is someone alleged to practice socially prohibited forms of magic, while a sorcerer refers to someone who intentionally takes on the role of magical practitioner, often with the intent to harm. That really sounds more like my family.

Also since that day, no one else from my family has ever received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts, or any other school. Our story spreaded even faster than The Boy Who Lived. Like, way faster. And everyone else is scared of us even more than Voldermort! and surprisingly, so is he.

He tried to kill our family, obviously it was big fail. We killed almost all his Death Eaters. Our magic is ten times as powerful as his. No wonder he offered my parents a position in his team, which they kindly rejected.

Ever since i was born, life felt like a competition, it felt like i had to win, you know? I always had to be better than everything and everyone. And it was tiring. I never had a chance to rest, ever. It was always studies, fighting or practicing my magic. I like studying more because my parents have trusted me to do it on my own, though at the end of the day they test me. I just like it better because i get to be alone, and i like being alone. it's comforting. It's way better than having people all over you like little insects.

Though, i always wondered what it was like to have friends. I was always isolated. From other people, society, the whole world. The only place i'm allowed to go other than home is the forest that we live in. It's calming. There's an enchanted river, multiple flower bushes, animals everywhere, and the best bit is when its nighttime, the most misunderstood creatures lurk out at that time, that's what makes the forest so special.

I've hated every single family member that lives inside this household. They never leave me alone! I'm an only child, i have no siblings nor cousins, so there's no one to bother. And if i bother anyone else, they make me train harder, they don't care if i get hurt, they just care that i get powerful and dangerous every second of the day.

I never liked my life, not even the slightest bit. It was always the same thing every day, "Y/n practice your magic!" "Y/n show me how to disarm your opponent!" "Y/n you're doing it wrong!" "Y/n you're such a disappointment! You should've gotten this in a heartbeat!" And i'm just sick of it. Nothing interesting or fun happens! Well except that one time.

When i was 12, my grandparents gifted me knives, i was so happy! we never celebrate a birthday, ever. Everyone said it's a waste of time. But finally, two people in my family celebrated mine, and i had my first and possibly last gift on my birthday. A pair of knives. Sure, it's not something you would gift a normal 12 year old, would you? but again, who said anything about my family and i ever being normal.

Then one supposed to be normal day, an owl came in the house and delivered a letter with a red stamp. My whole family had a mischievous grin on their faces when they read the letter.

"What is it?" i asked, intrigued by what it is that's making them think of an evil plan.

"Y/n darling," said my mother

"You just got accepted into Hogwarts, School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry. The exact same school that one of our ancestors tried to tear apart, but failed." she continued miserably.

"Let's show Hogwarts what they've missed." said mother, now walking towards me and leading me to my room.
