As I warmed up, I could barely focus on anything but thoughts of Gavi. I imagined him either preparing for his finals or watching me from Spain. The thought of him cheering me on filled me with a sense of determination and purpose. I glanced at the VIP stand and saw my family settled in their seats. Their presence always gave me a boost, and today was no exception.
The first half was exhilarating. I felt in peak form, scoring two goals that had the crowd roaring. Each time I looked over at the VIP stand, I saw my family cheering enthusiastically. Their pride and joy were clear, and it motivated me to keep pushing forward.
"Aitana Ronaldo has been phenomenal today! Two goals in the first half. Portugal is dominating, and Ronaldo is a key player."
"She's playing with incredible confidence and skill. Let's see if she can keep this momentum into the second half."
The second half began with high energy. I was fully immersed in the game, moving with precision and determination. However, midway through the half, disaster struck.
"Oh no, Ronaldo is down! That tackle was brutal. The medics are being called onto the field."
"This doesn't look good. The stadium has gone silent. We can only hope she's okay."
As I fell to the ground, pain shot through my knee and head. I tried to move, but my body wouldn't respond. My teammates rushed to my side, their faces filled with concern.
"Aitana, can you hear me? Stay with us. We need the medics!"
"Please, help her quickly!"
The urgency in their voices was palpable. I could hear the frantic shouts as they called for the medics, and the weight of their concern made me feel both comforted and anxious.
Family's Perspective
The VIP stand was filled with shock as the situation unfolded. Georgina, Cristiano, and Cris were visibly distressed. Georgina's face was pale, her hands trembling. Cristiano's expression was tight with worry, and Cris was already up, moving towards the exit.
"Cristiano, is she going to be okay? This is so frightening." Ask Georgina.
"We need to find out what's happening. She's been playing so well."
"I need to go down there. They need to take care of her!" Said Cris with worry in his eyes.
"Stay calm, Cris. The medics are on their way. We'll find out what's going on." She answers as she takes him in her arms.
The medics arrived swiftly, their faces serious as they assessed my injuries. They focused on my knee and head, ensuring I was stable enough to be moved.
"Aitana, we're here to help. We need to transport you to the medical room to check your injuries thoroughly."
"The medics are now working on Ronaldo. It's a tense moment for Portugal, and the seriousness of the situation is evident."
The girls forming a wall around me to hide the atrocity
"The stadium is holding its breath. Let's hope she recovers quickly."
Gavi's Perspective
Gavi was at home, trying to stay focused on his preparations for his own match. When he saw me go down, his heart sank. His worry was palpable as he watched the medics attend to me."No, Aitana, please be okay."
He felt a deep sense of helplessness, watching the medics work on me from afar. His anxiety was clear as he paced around, waiting for more information.
