"Curse? The Sun and Moon curse?" I had come across the curse in my research and also Isobels, Elenas biological mother.
"At least one of you knows your history." Rose rolls her eyes at Elena and turns her head to me as I take two steps forward, now standing next to Elena.
"What do you mean, I'm the key? The moonstone is what breaks the curse." Elena states for the vampire, looking at me when she mentioned the moonstone. But my gaze was likes on Rose.
"No. The moonstone is what binds the curse. Sacrifice is what breaks it." MY heard drops.
"Sacrifice?" I exclaim. I had not looked deep into the curse in fear of it being fake, but now I wish I knew this information.
"The blood of the doppelgänger. You're the doppelgänger. This means that in order to break the curse, you're the one that has to die." I hear Elena gasp beside me. I swallow mine and let out a sigh.
Now I really need to find a way out of this place.
"Tell me more." Elena tries to pry more info out of the vampire. I feel chills erupt my body again as I hear footsteps behind us.
My head snaps to the pounding sound that was taunting me. "Captives made her pushy, eh?" The male vampire asked Rose jokingly as he carries in another plank of wood. "What do you wanna know doppelicious?"
Where are the wood pieces coming from?
"Who are you running from?" I blurt out, asking again. I wanted to see some weakness from the vampires. And to get Elena to distract them hopefully, but right now, the attention was on me.
"The Originals." Trevor answered plainly, making my eyes roll.
"Yeah, we know that. Who are they? What are they?" They both give me looks. "If you are giving me over to someone to die. I might as well know what I'm in for."
"The first family. The Old World." He kicked one of the many books, making Elena jump. "Rose and I passed them off." He pointed to the woman.
Rose disagreed with him, tilting her head, pursuing her lips, and clearing he throat.
"Correction. I missed them off. Rose had my back. And for over half a millennium, they've wanted us dead." He threw a book in front of us, Elena jumped back.
"You would think they had something better to do than chase after dead meat." I mutter under my breath. "What did you do?" Trevor looked away.
"He made the mistake countless others did. He trusted Katerina Petrova." Rose answered for an embarrassed Trevor.
"Katherine?" I turn back to Rose. "The one and only." She nodded. "The first Petrova doppelgänger."
"I knew it." God, I am smart.
"I helped her escape her fate, and now I've— sorry." He corrected himself once more. "We've been marked ever since." I bring my nails up to my mouth in worry.
"Which is why we're not going make that same mistake twice."

Elena and I were just getting comfortable in the sofa, whilst we awaited for hope. My back was against her knees, and she was in a fetal position. I figured my posture didn't matter if in seconds I could be killed by a, supposedly, very powerful vampire.
I felt a pocky yet blunt material in my way. I groan and grab the thing that is annoying me. A piece of paper?
I figured it was a stray, but when I looked closer, there was writing. It seemed to be written in black marker, and it read; 'Stefan and Damon are coming for you guys- B'
