(Y/n) lay frozen on the ground for a long moment, completely unsure of what to do. The Ravager had tried to kill her just moments before – she only escaped from his grasp because of sheer luck and an avalanche that was still racing down the mountain outside – yet her heart squeezed in fear as she stared wide-eyed at the trapped omnic. He was flat on his stomach, one of his giant arms trapped under the boulder of ice with his lower half almost completely crushed, and his regular hands were pushing off the icy ground trying to pry himself free. He let out pained grunts that made her breath catch, so she didn't think it through before getting her feet under her and running over to him.
"Daggum, are you ok??" Her flighty (e/c) eyes bounced all over him, hands nervously clenched in front of her with worry as she hesitated. What was she supposed to do? She wasn't strong enough to lift the giant block of ice, it had to weigh at least a ton. It blocked the entire exit out of the cave, only a small corner up on the right side allowing her to see out into the world outside – although right now all she could see was snow racing past and no hint of the sun hanging high up in the sky behind the expanse of dark clouds.
He let out a low groan. "What do you think, human?" He would've been glaring at her if he could, and she forced herself to swallow back her nerves.
"Okay, great, you're still alive." Despite what had just happened, she couldn't deny she felt scared for him. Was he going to be okay?
"What do you care?" he griped, trying desperately to wrench his body free from the ice without luck. She stopped, realizing she shouldn't care, not at all, not after what he tried to do – but somehow that logic didn't sway her feelings.
"I don't like seeing others in pain." The admission was quiet, barely loud enough to reach his auditory processors.
"I will kill you as soon as I am free, human." The situation seemed to drop his voice to a new low, deep, chill, like this was her fault, and she could feel the anger coming off him in waves, burning hotter than the cold around her. Then she realized that the heat she was feeling was real, and she pulled her goggles and bandana off, knocking back her hood as she bent over him, standing just far enough back that he couldn't swipe at her with his hand.
(Y/n) huffed, eyes flickering over his broken body. "Not like that you won't." She dipped two fingers into what looked like red water, raising it to touch her fingers to her tongue. It tasted sweet, and she rubbed it between her thumb and forefinger to determine its slightly slippery, watery consistency – coolant. She swiped her hand across her pants then checked the other golden fluid, finding it was slick – oil. "Your oil is dripping out and your engine is overheating because your coolant is all over the floor." That was what produced the heat she was feeling, rivaling that of a car engine, and it made the ice under her feet slick as it started to thaw.
The Ravager sneered, metal fingers digging into the ice under him as he twisted and pulled, the metal screeching as it started to tear in half. "Even so, I will finish what I started." A shiver traveled up her spine. She didn't doubt him at all, everything he said having a way of striking her to the core like he never uttered a single word without pure intention backing it.
She wanted to ask if he could put that aside just until he was free, but she knew deep down he wouldn't, so instead, she pointed to his giant arms and legs. "Whatever you did before, you're going to need to undo it. If you were just in your regular Ravager form, you should be able to slide out." The giant limbs propped the ice block up just enough he had a change of wiggling out, but he had to leave them behind. He glanced back at his body, heavy pants clueing her into his pure fury with the situation, but after a long moment, he conceded.
"I do not need brute strength to kill a weakling such as you." He clapped his hands again, reverting back to his regular form as the trapped limbs remained wedged, and he rolled out of the way just in the nick of time as the ice shifted, planting itself permanently in front of their exit out of the cave and crushing the giant limbs under it. He tried to rise to his feet but his legs failed him and he collapsed to his knees, groaning loudly as coolant flooded out of the right side of his stomach and onto the floor.
