~ that morning ~

It was now one in the morning, and I had yet to hear back from Tayleigh. I sat in the living room, eating ice with the tv on in the background. I was comfortable, in my sweatpants and a sports bra.

I slightly looked over at my phone when I heard it ding. I saw it was Tayleigh and unlocked my phone to read her message. "I hope she know I'm smacking her as soon as she walk in..." I sighed.

𝐁𝐚𝐞 <𝟑: My fault, a lot of shit happened and Ima tell u when I get home. I should be home in like ten minutes. I love u.

"Yea, I'm sure you do." I mumbled to myself.

I didn't even bother responding, I just left her bad ass on read.

Eventually I got up, slightly limping to the kitchen. My left foot was swollen like shit. And my back was killing me. I placed my hand on my hip, catching my breath.

"Damn, a bitch ain't even do shit." I said as I caught my breath. I then looked down at my very small, but noticeable baby bump.

"I know you tired of me moving around. I'm sorry. I should've been sleep. But your mom doing dumb ish like always." I expressed, softly rubbing my belly.

"Maybe she'll learn to think more once you're born. I don't know. I apologize in advance cause something not right with her." I sighed. I then slightly chuckled to myself.

"I'm just kidding. She's okay. And she's great with Lyric. She just doesn't always use her brain, but we're working on that." I nodded.

I then continued walking over to the kitchen sink. There were a few dishes in there and I decided to wash them, to keep myself occupied.

Maybe about five minutes into washing dishes, I heard the front door being unlocked. It just so happens I was in the middle of washing a knife. A nice big knife.

I took my time washing it as I heard footsteps approaching the kitchen.

"Oh, you're still up..." I heard Tayleigh say. I didn't bother responding. "You mad at me?" Tayleigh asked, walking closer. I turned the sink water off and turned around.

Tayleigh's eyes immediately went to the knife in my hand as she took a few steps back. "I hope you enjoyed yourself." I finally spoke.

"I was literally about to ask Jay or one of them to bring me back, but then I saw that bitch Nya. She ran up and so we started fighting-" Tayleigh started to explain.

"She ran up Tayleigh? So you didn't run up as well? Cause you kept saying you were gonna slap her next time you see her." I stated. "Ight, yea I ran up too." Tayleigh nodded.

"We fought a couple times. But, I still could've been back home in time, hadn't we gotten arrested." she casually continued.

I didn't even bother listening to shit else she had to say. I dried the knife and put it up. Afterwards, I left out the kitchen.

"Goodnight Tayleigh. Sleep on the couch." I said.

"Baby, you not even hearing me out." Tayleigh sighed, following me. "I heard enough." I walked down the hallway. Tayleigh quickly followed behind me.
