"Luna, how do you feel?" Paul came beside the bed.

Like I got hit by a train and fell down a mountain. Winter cowled. Give me drugs!

Neil sat patiently to the other side of me, his eyes filled with worry and fear, and his hands fidgeting constantly.

"I'm alright," I answered, feeling a bit stronger as I sat up.

I'm not alright! Talk for me too! Winter shouted.

"Anybody who has the wherewithal to shout is perfectly fine." I clapped back at him.

I'm sore! He called back.

"You'll be fine!" I snapped back as I felt Neil put his small hand on my shoulder.

"Are you sure, Luna?" His voice barely rose above a whisper.

"Yes," I smiled at him.

No! Winter spat.

"Do you still feel weak anywhere?" Paul took out a little light and looked into my eyes.

"Not really," I moved my legs a bit to prove a point. "I feel better."

I feel like a slug. Winter kept going.

"That's good," Paul smiled as he took my wrist and felt my pulse. "Your heart rate seems back to normal too." He put his hand on my head, "and no fever or chills." He stood suddenly and went to the door,  "Alpha!" He shouted.

MATE! Winters tone switched at once.

I heard fast footsteps rush at once.  My head jerked to see Nick standing, slightly panting. I felt Neil shove himself ever so much so that he was partially concealed behind me.

MATE MATE MATE MATE MATE! Winter screamed over and over in excitement as Nick's sandalwood scent assaulted my nose.

"What happened?" He immediately came closer to me, still panting a bit.

YOU CAME TO RESCUE MEEEEE FROM THIS DEMON DOC! Winter's voice was sing-songy as Nick stared down at us. His excitement was a welcome change from his complaining...and it also showed that he was, at least by this point, doing just fine and back to his old self.

"Nothing bad Alpha," Paul chuckled. "The Luna said he feels better, that's all."

I could hear a low growl as Nick looked at Paul.

That's right! Back up you demon doctor! I don't want anymore pokes! Winter spat. It was as if I could see his lips pouting and his eyes narrowed.

"Now now, calm down." Paul laughed again. "I'll be back with so food." He left the room, smirking. "The Luna must eat." He added before the door shut.

We must go with mate now. Winter chimed. Yes, we go.

"We can't just go," I disagreed, "we can barely walk!"

We can walk. We go. He persisted.

"We can't leave Neil." I reminded him.

Damnit. I forgot he was cowering behind us. Winter sneered.

"Sam," Nick took my hands in his own, drawing my attention from Winter. "Do you still feel weak?" His eyes were filled with concern.

"No," I shook my head, causing him to smile a little.

YOU LYING BITCH! WE CAN WALK! Winter shrieked.

I did feel strong, but only just so.

"Here," Nick started to pull on me.

"Hey!" I called in shock. "What're you?!" I could barely get the sentence out of my mouth as he yanked me to my feet.

YES! Winter cheered.

"Luna!" Neil whisper screamed.

My feet hit the ground but wobbled like freshly set jello. I grabbed onto Nick's shoulders to save myself from collapsing onto the ground. His arms were quick to grab onto me as my body began to crash down.

"It's alright!" Nick rushed out. "Your legs are just wobbly." He smiled at me as he dragged me back into a standing position.

Sandalwood surrounded me and I felt a deep relaxing sensation around me. There was a purr from somewhere within, but I squashed it at once, shy to let the noise release from my throat.

I gripped onto Nick as tightly as I could, stabilizing my jello legs while basking in his smell. My eyes met his and I couldn't help but return his small smile. His arms were strong and his body like stone as he held me aloft.

I could eat mate up. I felt Winter dancing a bit in my mind.

"Don't you dare think that way," I chided him. "I'm too weak for those thoughts."

You may be, but I'm not. He purred in satisfaction.

"Are you alright, Luna?" Neil whimpered from behind.

"He's fine, Neil." Nick answered before I could.

I grunted in disapproval of Nick's tone.

He cleared his throat, "I mean, the Luna is doing fine, Neil, don't worry." Nick changed his tune.

I smiled in disbelief that he had fixed his tone at my grunt.

Mate listens so well. Winter purred again. We should reward mate.

"Oh cool off you horny beast!" I spat at him as Nick took a step back, still holding me up.

"Neil," Nick spoke up, "leave us."

"A-Alpha..."Neil began to protest.

Nick released a low growl, and Neil cowered a bit.

"Hey!" I gripped as much as I could onto Nick, showing disapproval of whatever he did to make Neil run.

"Don't get me wrong baby," Nick pulled me close as Neil scurried out. "You being protective over Neil is sweet, but he is still an omega here, and he must obey."

"Yeah, but you don't have to be mean." I cut my eyes at him as he helped me walk a few steps on my still somewhat unsteady legs.

"It's not being mean," he added. "It's being in charge." He smirked, "as are you, when you wanna be." He laughed suddenly.

His laughter was infectious and I found myself chucking as well.

"Luna?" Paul returned. "I've brought some food."
He stopped and stared at us for a moment, "I'll just...leave it here." He put it on a side table as he smiled. "Keep going," he backed out, smiling.

"What was that?" I asked Nick.

"Oh nothing," he piped up, still chuckling, "he just thought he interrupted a moment between an Alpha and his Luna." He took a step closer.

"Did he?" I was shocked.

"I think he did," Nick picked up my chin, "oh well...he's gone now." Nick leaned down and kissed my lips.

Thank the Moon Goddess it's about time! Winter shouted in excitement as electricity ran through us.

I hated to admit he was right, but when Winter wants something, we both tend to want it...and I'd been waiting to be kissed like this since we got up.
