Wells leaned against the wall, rubbing his head. Blood dripped from a cut on his forehead and his leg had been wrapped in a bandage. Grodd glared at him before walking to a seat in the middle of the room. He sat down in it like a king on his throne.
Grodd: Everything is ready, General.
Standing several stories above him, Eiling looked out through a glass window. He grinned, walking over to a set of dual panels, one on either side of him.
Eiling: Good. Let's get to work. Commence operation "Jungle Dweller".
Grodd sat down in his chair and focused. The large hydraulics surrounding him began to move, some levitating before being put into place. Wells looked at it in awe, realizing Grodd's new extraordinary ability. He was telekinetic.
Eiling pressed a set of buttons on the panels next to him. A set of lights began to flash around the dimly lit room he was in. Servos and large machinery cranked and whirred to life.
Outside, workers near the city docks were going about their daily business. Buses drove by full of people on the way home from work. Passengers typed on their phones and waited as the bus stopped at a red light.
Working from a crane near the docks, a construction worker drank from a cup of coffee. He placed it down, ready to clock out for the evening. As he sat his coffee down, the worker took the time to appreciate his view over the harbor. Central City was quite beautiful in the evening.
As the worker watched the setting sun in the distance, he felt a large thud shake his cabin. He was confused. Nothing had been left on. He had made sure of that. He looked around to see if one of the men below him was doing something.
Then there was another thud. The workman became even more confused. He looked down at his drink and noticed something. His coffee started to ripple. With each thud, the ripples became larger.
The worker then heard a thud larger than the rest. He looked down, thinking he could find the source of the noise. What he saw made him freeze and fall back in his seat.
Rising out of the docks, concealed in an old hangar, was a ginormous robot gorilla. Its long arms had been hidden in the bay and its body emerged from the warehouse below. The gigantic ape steadily rose, its eyes turning a deep green.

The workman looked at the ape in terror. It had to be well over a hundred feet tall. Suddenly, the large monstrosity began to move. It walked on its feet and knuckles just like a proper gorilla.
The worker desperately tried to flee his cabin. He shakily opened the door and stepped out onto the ladder. At that moment, the ape's shoulder hit the crane. The ladder broke and bent. The workman fell to the side and was forced to cling onto a metal bar for dear life. His feet dangled several stories above the ground.
Down below, workers and scared pedestrians saw the approaching mech unit and ran away in terror. Civilians jumped out of their cars and ran through traffic to escape. People cried out in terror and fear.
