Comet
Genesis practically dragged me back to Origin's home. We barely even had time to unpack as we stepped through the front door before Genesis called him back to us.
"Origin! Origin! Origin! Something cool happened! Come on! Get down here!" Genesis rushes around the house nearly knocking some items off the shelves. I sighed and shook my head as I went to the kitchen. I stored our new source of cow meat properly. I muttered a silent thank you to the cow for feeding us.
"What is the commotion, Genesis? You need to calm down before you trip over your two feet!" He groans as he steps out of his room. Genesis was quickly by his side as he hugged him. Origin hugs him back.
"Comet! She has powers!" He cheered a bit, and a faint blush went over my face with embarrassment. Origin turns his head over to me. His eyes searched the room a little before landing on me.
"Is this true? I am so glad. I know you would have abilities. What were you able to do?" He walks over to me. I made it to the hallway where we met halfway with Genisis behind him.
"Well- It's a bit hard to explain but I summoned a bow." I begin to explain to him. Genesis cuts in by jumping next to me.
"Just show him! Do it again! I know you can Comet!" He cheers me on. I laughed nervously.
"Well... I can try. I'm just not sure if I can do it again." Origin smiles kindly at me.
"Whether you can or not doesn't matter. Summoning a weapon is something I have never seen or heard of before. I don't believe any Steves share that trait." He steps over to my left while Genesis stays at my right. I nodded.
"I'll try, it would be good practice right?" I questioned my own words.
"Exactly! You got this!" Genesis continued to cheer for me. I shook my head at his excitement as a brighter blush appeared on my face. I took a deep slow breath before raising my arms up and out as if holding that same bow again.
It was easier this time, I could feel something escape from me as energy pulsed in the firm grip of my hands. I looked forward to seeing a small reef above the door frame of the hallway. I turned this bright glowing bow in my hands to aim for it. I pulled back on the small odd string watching as an arrow appeared out of thin air. My two friends stepped back. I glanced at Origin. His blue eyes reflected the white glow of my bow. I smiled a little before looking at the door again.
I aimed this arrow at the center of the reef. I let go of the arrow and watched it disappear into the wood of the door. Perfectly centered. It flashed over my eyes again, the words. Edit. It was followed but a white sting that connected the word and the door. I blinked and it was gone. The bow is still through the door.
"Can I- Can I try holding your bow Comet?" Origin asked me softly. I lowered my bow to the ground and nodded.
"Of course... I didn't know I could do this." I let my grip on the bow relax. He reached out to grab it, but it flickered out faster than a candlelight. I pulled my hand back as the hallways got a little darker. "Sorry..." I looked back towards the door to see the arrow gone as well. Only a small mark of damage remained on it.
"It's alright, this is a new ability! Just like I and Genisis we had to find our abilities and learn to use them. It will take time for you to do the same." He takes my hand rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand. I gently squeezed his hand.
"You're right, at least I have a lot of time to learn how to use this ability with you." I looked back at him, his eyes softened as I relaxed.
"What else can you do?! Is it just this?!" Genesis looks over at the two of us. I let my grip loosen from Origin's hand. He pulls his back to his side before Genisis can notice.
