The CCPD showed up to the crime scene the next morning. Police tape and barricades had been set up around the road. The truck driver was being interviewed about what happened and anything he knew.

Barry Allen walked over to the back of the truck. He examined the doors and the odd way they had been blown off. Joe was talking with one of his fellow cops about what all had been stolen.

Joe: So one guy was able to unload this entire truck and take all the contents inside?

Officer: Reports suggest it was one man. We're getting a description right now.

Barry looked over and pointed out something else on the road.

Barry: The tire marks and oil stains back there are inconsistent with the tires used by the truck here.

Joe: So, someone else followed him and helped take everything.

Barry and the officer nodded. Joe walked over to talk to Barry about what he could find at the truck.

Joe: Bare, what you got?

Barry: Well, the breakage indicates that the door somehow had zero viscoelasticity when it hit the ground.

Joe: What does that mean to normal people?

Barry: Sorry. Uh... The locks shattered like glass. There was no residue of gunpowder or explosives used to burst it open. Most odd of all is that it seems to have first broken from the inside before popping off.

Joe: How is that possible? Are you suggesting someone was inside the truck and burst it open?

Barry looked carefully at a part of the locking mechanism on the door, holding it up. Ice covered the component.

Barry: No. It's as if the locks were frozen from the outside and expanded on the inside. The pressure popped the doors off their hinges.

Joe looked at the doors curiously before bending down and speaking quietly to Barry.

Joe: You think we're dealing with another meta-human? One who can use ice?

Barry: I'm not sure.

Later, the two investigators were at S.T.A.R. Labs talking with the team about the case. Barry told them his theory about the frozen door and Joe presented photos from the scene.

Barry: It's like the doors were frozen. The steel showed only minimal if any expansion before falling off. The locks were broken into pieces and showed evidence of continual frost despite the warmer weather.

Y/N: Like fossils found frozen in ice.

Cisco and Caitlin looked at each other, hearing the detail about frost.

Y/N: Could there be a meta-human who can control ice in some way or capacity?

Wells: Considering we've already delt with a man who can manipulate fire, I wouldn't rule out the reverse element as well.

Y/N: Have Stein and Jackson encountered anyone else like them but of different elements?

Wells: Not that we're aware of.

Y/N nodded. About two months after separating Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond, the team had found that Stein still contained elements of the F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. matrix and needed a partner to merge with and contain it. Luckily, they found a willing candidate in Jefferson Jackson. The two now operated as the new Firestorm, learning how to control and use their abilities for good.
