Sahil

"Meri Jaan?" I asked.

"Sahil ji–" she began, but then the line went quiet. I looked at my phone, seeing the call still connected.

"Meri Jaan, appko awaz aa rahi hai Meri?" I asked. I waited for a few seconds but didn't get a reply. The WiFi is so fucking bad.

"Meri Jaan, I can't hear you" I explained. I went to cut the call but I stopped as soon as I heard a faint noise. My WiFi's not the problem, something else is. I glanced at Aryan and grabbed his phone dialing Amaya's number. The phone rang, but no one answered.

"Fuck, something's wrong"  I said, cutting Amaya's call. Something's definitely wrong, Amaya's not picking up her call and she's not talking, but I keep hearing noises from the call.

"Kya Hua?" he asked.

"She called me, but she's not talking. Amaya isn't picking up either, and I keep hearing these fucking noises from the phone. I know something's fucking wrong" I told, my voice betraying my unease.

"Bodyguard ko call karle" he suggested. I quickly hung up and called the bodyguard. The phone rang but then cut off. I'll kill that fucking bodyguard.

"He isn't picking up either" I said, looking at Aryan. He put his hand in his pocket.

"I've got the car keys. Let's go" he said. We ran to the car without another word.

"They better be okay, or else I'll fuck that bodyguard up" I said as we got into the car. Aryan started the engine and drove out of the main gate. I kept calling her, hoping for an answer.

"Maybe their phone is on silent" he said.

"It can't be that she just called me, and if I cut the call there must be a sound of it" I replied, continuing to dial her number. Still no response. Just pick it up once, meri jaan, please. I let out a groan grabbing a cigarette and lighting it up, taking a deep puff. They just went to the fucking mall, nothing could go wrong with that. They're just at the fucking mall, she's fine, she's okay, sahil, calm down, her phones on silent. I clenched my jaw, taking a deep breath.

"What was the manager's number?" I asked.

"I don't know, but I don't think they went to the mall" he admitted, his mind racing as mine.

"Fuck, neither do I. But if they didn't, where did they?" I said, crushing the cigarette in my hand. The burning tip seared my palm before I threw it out of the window. I tried thinking they were in the mall, but I'm not willing to believe anything right now, my mind won't settle down until I see her safe.

"If anything happens to her, I'll kill everyone" I declared. The mall should've taken 10-20 minutes to reach since it's not far and they left the house for almost an hour, so they must've stopped in between, and we need to find where, or else I'll go crazy.

"If the bodyguard is with them, then they should be fine" Aryan said, his fingers tapping on the steering wheel.

"Don't try to calm me down when you can't yourself" I snapped, he chuckled. The bodyguard better be with them.

"I know how to control my anger sometimes, but you, you can't." He remarked, making me smile.

"You know I don't fuck around with things that are mine." I said, the words heavy with menace.
"Or agar baat Meri Jaan par ajaye, to phir sab marenge, mere hatho se" I said, before my phone rang, displaying an unknown number. I answered and put it on speaker.

"I have your wife" a voice said. We stayed quiet.

"If you want her back, I give you 10-"

"No" I cut him off, anger evident in my voice. "I give YOU 20 fucking minutes, if you can hide, hide, if you can't your dead. In 5 minutes I'll be there, and I'll kill every fucking one of you, each. One. Of. You. With my bare hands" I ended the call, squeezing the phone in my hand until it cracked out of anger.

"Turn the fucking car" I said, he smiled.

"You better have gotten their location" I said.

"Already done." he replied, speeding up the car.
