Brinda's pov

There is just awkward silence at the dining table. I officially ruined the first day of Naksh here!! Papa and I are not even looking at each other, whereas mumma is giving both of us silent treatment.

While others are also sitting silently trying to have breakfast. I lost my appetite, so i am just playing with food. A spoonful of rice hanging in air for the past ten minutes is the only progress i made in order to have breakfast.

"Brinda Ma'am." I heard the security guard. I got up from the chair. It was very awkward, so a distraction would work.

"Mr. Rathore is here to see you. Should i let him in?" He added, and i took a deep breath and looked back at Papa for a moment.
Shit!
Before i could deny, Papa interrupted, "Let him in."

I just kept standing in the hall, not knowing what to do. I know you are worried, but you should have waited, Adhu.

In a snap of moment, i was wrapped in a pair of arms of the person who meant everything to me. He was panting heavily and held me in a tight grip as if I'd disappear the moment he left me.

"Are you okay? Why weren't you answering my calls? I was worried sick! Naina told me you had an argument with your dad, and i just..." He murmured panic visible in his voice.

"Hey! It's fine." I replied calmly, completely forgetting about the argument and my sour mood as he pressed a long kiss against my temple.

"Ahm, ahm!" I heard throat clearing sounds.
Well, I also forgot that my entire family was present there. This is awkward.

I quickly made distance between me and Adhu looking here and there.

"Uhh.... I am sorry. I was just worried, so i... umm... i didn't mean to disrespect you." Adhu said nervously.

"It's fine. Have a seat." Papa said, pointing at the couch and getting up from the dining table. I squeezed his hand in assurance.

I was about to sit beside Adhu when Papa sat between us, so i sat in front of Papa along with mumma. Well, the rest of the audience who surely are missing popcorns are just standing there.

"How long is this going on?" Mumma asked, breaking the silence.

"The day Naksh was born." I replied, looking at Adhu.

"Eww! You couldn't find another day!" Riddhi's husband said, his face scrunched in disgust.

"Riddhi apne pati ka muh bnd krale isse pehle mai tod du!" I said, glaring at her husband.

"Brindaaaa!" Mumma scolded, and i rolled my eyes. Brinda focus!

"So you decided to propose to her in a week?" Papa asked him, glaring at my ring.

"It's not about a week. I have been in love with her ever since i saw her in the restaurant the first time." Adhu replied, and i just kept staring at him. I thought he fell in love when we were working together, but....

"You really love her?" Papa asked as if asking him to reconsider his choice.

"Why can't he love me!?" I asked offended.

"I don't know because you are scary!" Papa replied, rolling his eyes.

"I am not a ghost, and anyways, everyone say i am your copy." I said in a duh tone.

"She's a bit scary, but i love all of her." Adhu said.

"Scary! Really." I scoffed.

"Anmol, stop it!" Mumma said, glaring at Papa.
