Everett's POV
I grumble under my breath when I see another sock lying around the apartment. Who the fuck knew living with Nolan and Seb would be this hard?
Because Seb leaves his dirty socks everywhere and Nolan drinks milk straight out of the fucking bottle. He doesn't even throw away the empty bottles of milk or juice from the fridge once he finishes it.
Throwing my bag on the floor next to the sofa, I lay down and immediately fish out my phone, dialling my girls number and waiting for her to pick up.
Only for it to go straight to voicemail.
Groaning, I throw my phone to the other end of the sofa, just as Seb, Nolan and two of our other university friends walk through the door of our apartment.
"Jeez, what's got you in such a pissy mood?" Sam— our friend jokes, pouring himself some orange juice.
I wouldn't drink that if I were you. I literally have to keep a fucking mini fridge in my room with how Nolan drinks straight out of the bottle.
"Shut the fuck up." I mumble, closing my eyes and resting my arm above my eyes. Maybe by the time I wake up, Alexandra is done with classes.
"His girlfriend probably didn't pick up." Seb snickers, taking off his shoes and discarding his socks next to the sofa.
That's what I fucking mean when I say he doesn't know where to keep his damn socks.
"You have a girlfriend?" Weston— our other friend asks, surprised. Is it that hard to believe I have a girl?
"Yeah, for like... almost two years now, I think." Nolan replies.
"It's been over two years, you dingus." I mutter. Time seems to be going by so fucking slow. Is she done yet?
"No shit? I've known you for a year and you never mentioned you had a girlfriend?" Sam comments.
"Why is it so hard to believe that I have a girlfriend?" I finally sit up and raise my eyebrows at the two men that seemed oblivious to the fact. I've always been away during weekends to be with Alexandra. I mean I offer to drive to her since she's always tired with the shitload of assignments she has and the lack of sleep. I thought it was obvious that I have a girl.
"Well because you're so... grumpy and mean. It's hard to believe a girl can put up with you. I thought you were gay with the way you always avoided girls but turns out you have a girl." Weston laughs. I scowl at him.
Just then, the sound of my phone ringing makes me spring to the end of the sofa, grinning when I see my girls name across the phone screen. I immediately pick up and grab my bag. Before I could even say anything, Alexandra spoke, "Hi! Sorry I couldn't pick up earlier, I got held back in class." she smiled sheepishly.
"It's okay—" I get interrupted when Seb snatched my phone and I swear I would've murdered him right then and there if Alexandra wasn't on the phone.
"Cupcake! I miss you! How come you always call your grumpy boyfriend but never me?" he pouted. I hear my girl laugh through the phone, "I'm sorry Sebby. I've been really busy with assignments and all— but I miss you and Nolan too." she says.
I haven't seen her in a month. She has a fucking project that's been taking up all her time and she's been visiting her family the past few weeks as well. I don't mind it but it upsets me with how little we've spoken to each other the past month because of that damn assignment. But just a few days ago, she told me that she'd be coming to stay with me for the weekend and I couldn't be happier.
