- The day Sirius leaves to Hogwarts -
"I'll miss you!!" The now 10 year old Regulus was grabbing onto her brother for dear life not wanting him to go.
"I promise I'll write petit" The Black brother promised.
"Oh dear boy I just know you will get into Slytherin, it's in your blood!" Walburga was so excited to see her eldest child go to Hogwarts.
The Blacks were right now at the platform of Hogwarts Express saying goodbye to Sirius.
"What if I don't get into Slytherin mum cause Gryffindor sounds pretty cool!"
"Sirius we do not speak of that foul house, Slytherin is the only way to greatness you have to remember that my dear boy" The blacks father told Sirius very sternly.
The train then whistles which means it's time to board the train. After all of them said the goodbyes for the last time as one big happy family, not that they knew that Sirius boarded the train.

- On the Hogwarts Express -
When Sirius finally found a compartment he heard a knock on the door and saw 3 boys standing there.
The boy who knocked had messy hair, glasses and hazel eyes, the boy on his left was pretty tall, mousy hair and scars on his face. The final boy was eating a lollipop, was short and stubby.
"Hi can we sit here everywhere else is full?" The boy with glasses questioned.
"Sure! I'm Sirius Black what's your names?"
"I'm James Potter!" He spoke pretty confidently.
"Hey I'm Remus Lupin" Remus looked pretty uncomfortable seeing as Sirius was staring at the scars on his face so he resorted to looking out the window instead.
"I'm Peter Pettigrew" The shy boy spoke softly.
And just like that the group of boys just clicked and would spend the rest of their lives together and it seems like nothing could break them apart.

- The tragic sorting that changed everything -
As they entered the school they saw a Scottish witch wearing emerald green robes waiting for them.
"Welcome to Hogwarts. The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the great hall you will be sorted into your houses, there are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. The sorting ceremony will begin shortly and remember your house will become your family during your time here at Hogwarts." The Scottish witch told to all of the first years.
All of the first years were fascinated at the sight of the great hall with what looks like a starry night sky.
"It's bewitched to look like the sky outside. I read about it in Hogwarts: A History!" A red headed muggleborn who seemed to catch the eye of the one and only James Potter.
"Settle down children it is now time for the sorting ceremony. Lily Evans!"
The red headed girl from before headed up to the chair to get sorted mumbling to herself.
"Hmm GRYFFINDOR!!" The sorting hat exclaimed the hall.
Every single Gryffindor started cheering.
"Peter Pettigrew!"
"I see.. GRYFFINDOR"
Once again the Gryffindors bursted out with cheer.
"Severus Snape!"
"SLYTHERIN"
This time the Slytherins started cheering.
"James Potter!"
"GRYFFINDOR" The talking hat screamed before it even touched his head.
And once again cheers from Gryffindor.
"Remus Lupin!"
"GRYFFINDOR"
There were once again cheers for the scar faced boy.
"Sirius black!"
Sirius then climbed the stairs nervously to get sorted.
"Please not Slytherin, anything but Slytherin!"
"Are you sure you don't want to be with your family? No alright then GRYFFINDOR!"
There were no cheers in the great hall just silence but Sirius could hear some whispers about him. After a few moments the Gryffindors started cheering.

- Back at the Black manor -
Walburga and Orion Black had just received a letter letting them know Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor and the could not be any less disappointed in their eldest son.
"HOW DARE HE JOIN THE PATHETIC GRYFFINDORS WITH MUDBLOODS AND BLOOD TRAITORS!!" Walburga yelled at her husband.
While this was going on Regulus was up in her bed knowing for a fact that everything had changed. She knew that the stars had their fate sealed and won't change their minds.
She knew from then on was going to be completely different which she was mad at Sirius about since he promised nothing would change.
That was the last thought that Regulus had before drifting off to sleep knowing that her family would be changed from now on whether she liked it or not.
