Chapter 40 : Drunk Confession

"WHAT ?"

Many voices are heard together. Michael's fists clench, his knuckles white. Mason's face hardens, a storm flashing in his eyes. Noah's eyes darken, Jack's jaw tightens, while Ethan and William share a look of pure fury.

Jane sighs and nods, "Yes, we saw him with another girl today, and they were... kissing."

She continues, "That's not all, he said horrible things to Olivia that I can't even repeat."

"What ? What did he say ?" Noah asks her.

Jane gulps, "H-He said he was with her because of money and reputation. He laughed at her b-because she can't w-walk," her voice shaking more now. "He blames her for Ria's death too."

Mason stiffens, his eyes hardening.

"He said he was going to keep his relationship until the last year, but because of her accident, he lost interest in her. I-I- he also said that he wanted to take h-her v-virginity- but-"

Hazel gasps, her hand flying to her mouth, and Sophia's eyes widen in shock.

"WHAT THE FUCK !" Jack yells while everyone freezes in their spots.

"B-But he said- someone protected her- I mean her brother p-protected her that day," Jane says, looking at everyone confusingly.

They frown, looking at each other, except Mason, who just clenches his jaw, glaring darkly at no one.

"Mason," William's voice booms in the hall. Every head present snaps toward the boy.

"What happened ?" he grits his teeth. His voice is nothing but cold, his eyes holding nothing but rage. Observing Mason's reaction, he guesses that his youngest brother definitely knows something he doesn't.

Mason sighs and tells them everything that happened at the party.

Tears gather in Hazel and Sophia's eyes while the others feel broken.

"AND YOU ARE SAYING THIS FUCKING RIGHT NOW ?" Noah yells at Mason, who looks down in guilt.

If he had told them about Lucas earlier, she would not have seen this day.

Before he can react, a punch lands on his face, making him stumble back from the force.

"HOW DARE YOU HIDE SUCH A THING FROM US ?" Michael holds his collar and shouts at him.

"She t-told me not to tell you guys about-"

"And you agreed ?" Jack grits his teeth.

Mason looks down, "S-She trusted me."

"Mason, this is not something to hide," Ethan sighs. "This is sexual assault. It is a crime, Mase. Tell me Mason, what would we have done if Lucas had done something like this again and this time you weren't there to save Olivia ? How could we be sure that he wouldn't do something like this to Olivia again ? These fuckers need punishments not protection."

Mason's eyes widen, his breath hitching.

"I. WILL. FUCKING. KILL. THAT. BASTARD." Noah grits his teeth, punching the wall in anger.

Their sister was about to get raped, and they didn't know a single thing ? Pathetic. They are definitely a poor excuse for brothers. Ethan and William look like they're on the brink of exploding. while others are clenching and unclenching their fists.

"He", Jane clears her throat, "He even dared to raise his hand on her"

She says quietly making everyone snap their head towards her.
