Met again

The next day, the announcement of the election results came swiftly, and to Ansel's delight, he and his friends had secured their positions in their own club and organizations. Ansel was now the Secretary of Records and Archives for the academic year.

Out of 35 members in their party, only 28 members secured their desired position, the rest of the members who won were from the opposing group.

Pagkatapos mailabas ang resulta, nagtawag ng meeting ang adviser at president nila. Nang naroon na ang lahat ay saka na nagsimula ang pagpupulong.

"Congratulations to everyone, and welcome to Cogitassians Club! This club is the pillar of your strand, and I hope that you all understand the importance of the roles you've taken on. We have a lot of work ahead of us for the next few months, so I hope you're ready for that," sambit ng teacher nila at agad naman silang nagsipalakpakan. Their club adviser is also their practical research teacher last year so it wasn't really hard to recognize him.

Their introduction was followed by the arranging of their units. Dahil tatlumpu't lima ang miyembro ng club nila at may kanya-kanya silang posisyon, kinakailangan nilang maging pamilyar sa mga makakasama nila sa pag-aasikaso ng club lalo na events.

Dahil dito, sila ay nahati sa pitong units. Ang executive unit na pinangungunahan ng presidente ng club at ang apat na bise presidente na magle-lead sa iba pang pangkat ay magkabakas sa iisang unit. Ang apat na bise naman ay may kanya-kanya ring limang miyembro sa yunit na pamumunuan nila. Ang mga unit na ito ay pinangalanang, Program & Extensions, Events & Competition, Outreach and Projects, at Internal affairs & Operations. Habang ang Technical and Creative unit ay binubuo ng labing-apat na miyembro.

Sa posisyon ni Ansel, siya ang isa sa secretary ng Internal affairs & Operations. Kasama niya rito ang Vice President ng unit, dalawang grade 11 undersecretary, at isa pang secretary na ka-batch niya. Their job is to ensure that the club operates smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the club's internal records, coordinating between different units, and handling any administrative tasks that arise.

The meeting ended with each team outlining their plans and discussing how they could collaborate effectively in the future events. For almost two hours of the gathering, Ansel learned that this wasn't the same as before when he was handling his position in the student council as a junior. The scale of responsibilities and the complexity of tasks in the club were significantly greater. This is going to be a lot more challenging than I thought, he thinks. But he'll be used to it.

He also learned that his leader was quite a silent type. He was quiet the whole meeting unless he was asked important questions. Though attentive, this guy wouldn't really budge, unless again, he was directly addressed.

Just like him.

Ansel find his composed demeanor quite effective.

"That's a wrap for today, everyone! Later in the afternoon, we'll create a group chat for the Cogitassians Officers. Should you have any questions, please kindly ask there. We'll also give you access to our club' FB Page, so wait for the instructions later. That's all, thank you and congratulations again, Cogitassians!" masiglang wika ng presidente nila.

With a sigh, Ansel packed his belongings methodically, his mind already thinking about catching up to his next class. Dalawang klase rin ang hindi niya napasukan kaya naman ay hindi niya maiwasang mabahala.

As he stood up with the members, their vice president faced them.

"Do you guys mind if I create a group chat for our team? So we can talk there about managing the internal affairs," sambit nito. His name is Elijah. Kung kanina ay iniisip ni Ansel kung gaano ka-cold tignan ng lalaking ito, ngayon naman ay napagtanto niya nang magsalita itong muli na pati ang boses nito ay malamig.
