"Dont be happy about this, you still have to ask permission to leave from the alpha..." He said as Liam's face fell.
"Permission? Excuse you? Who the hell does Narcia thinks she is to refuse my leave, I am no one's possession!" He snarled out as Devan lifted his hands up in defense.
"Liam, our world doesn't function with the same rules as humans. We have pack laws and all, Matheo is a pack member, he must request leave... and well, you need to as well since you claimed her." Devan clarified, making Liam growl as his tail began to wip around furiously.
Of course this couldn't be as easy as simply leaving, although, perhaps fleeing wasn't the best approach, his heart began to squeeze for a moment when he thought of facing Narcia, that's what he feared really.
Being unable to leave once face to face.
His fur began to fuzz up when he turned away from the door, growling as he began to pace, leaving Devan to cross his arms and watch, unable to really help in this situation, Liam knew he was right, there was no other way around it.
Liam had to face Narcia with this, he had tell her goodbye ans leave far away, they needed space, a break to clear their heads so he could make one day a clear minded decision about how they would proceed with another.

Narcia sighed as she passed yet another pile of papers, Tammy quickly taking them towards the bookshelf in the corner of the room, turning around with worry.
"You should eat, alpha." She says softly as Narcia hummed, grabbing another pile and beginning to write into each needed spots, placing her seal on them before flipping to the next page.
"If you are done with you suggestions, then you can be dismissed." Narcia firmly stated, licking her finger before flipping yet another stamped paper, her tone cold and her glare dull.
"It's not with that attitude that you'll regain your trust with Liam." Tammy says as she grabs her stuff, leaving the room with a slam of the door, Narcia sighing as she put down her pen, leaning back on her chair.
She wasn't going to push Liam, she had made so many mistakes, so many wrong choices, she was done trying to force things, she would leave Liam alone lile he wanted, would bring him close if he asked, but she was done trying to push her needs first.
"What a bitch I was..." She mumbled as a knock on the door echoed, a groan leaving her before a shiver coarsed through her, her eyes lighting up as she looked up, blinking in shock.
"Come in." She says softly as Devan and Liam walked in with a stern expression, making her gulp as she stood, her hands crossed as she bit her lip, feeling Mai all excited within her, yelling their mates name as her mark stung.
"We have come to request leave, alpha." Devan said as she leaned back, tilting her head as she sat back down, Devan wasn't part of the pack so he did not need to request leave, he was free to go, her eyes landed on Liam who couldn't even bare looking at her.
Don't forget that shame, that's our doing.
She knew Mai was right, this was her fault, her mate couldn't look at her because of her errors and constant mistakes, she bit her lip at the thought, she should have done better by him, she should have listened to him.
"Is this for you, Liam?" She asks in a softer tone than her voice trembling wanted to be, her eyes lighting up as he finally faced her, the blue in his eyes only looking pale and dull.
"Yes, although it also includes Matheo." He says as she frowns, looking down at her lap, she felt so bizarre in this situation, sitting in her father's chair as her mate and closest friend bassically requested leave.
She bit her lip as Matheo entered in queue, his face flush with embarrassment, clearly wishing he wasn't in this room at the moment, a heavy sigh left her as she bit her lip, she had to think of what Liam needed, and if space is what she wanted, she was going to grant it.
"Alright, leave accorded. For how long must I expect this?" She says calmly as she pulled another paper, dipping her pen in the ink as she glanced at what it said.
"Permanently." Liam quickly said, her shock causing the pen to tip the ink, splashing over the paper as she cursed under her breath, Liam quick to help, trying to salvage the work.
"What do you mean, permanently?" Her voice betrays her, Liam's hitched breath echoes as he looks up, their eyes meeting again for the first time since she rescued him.
His own words seems to be stuck in his throat, unable to leave his lips, how his resolve had no escaped his body was a mistery, he had been so determined when had left his room.
"I want to visit the world, to think about us, about this." He finally breaks the silence, her eyes looking down at the ink soaked paper, she couldn't blame him for it, if anything, she should be glad he hadn't just straight up chosen to give up on her.
You should be thanking the moon Goddess, he is a saint for not having dropped your ass already.
Mai was right about that, she hated how much sense she was making, but in the end, if Liam needed space, she would grant him a lifetime of it, it's the least she could do.
"I understand." She says as she hung the paper on a string, looking out the window to the children that played around, her heart twisting in pain.
"Thank you, Narcia." Liam said as he turned around and left the room, Devan and Matheo quick behind, as Matheo shut the door, he quickly turned to look at his alpha, a worried expression on his face.
(Matt: I will take care of him until we return, alpha.)
He sent her through the link as she gripped her chest, sobbing as she put her hand on the window, oh how things had gone so south in the last few months, how did everything go so wrong, why had she made the choices she had.
She closer her eyes, looking out at the fields of woods in the distance, more importantly, at her father's grave at the edge of the forest, sighing as she smiled.
"I will become a worthy alpha, so when Liam comes back, I will be a worthy mate as well. I promise you, Father." She says as the wind blew through the window, her eyes shutting with a few remaining tears.
This marks the end of this book, I will be writing the second book soon that will follow up ten years from now.
