It has passed weeks since we've been trying to figure out Arav's new scheme. That old bastard has my mind twisted in knots. Unable to attack us directly, he'd sent a man to kill her instead.

"Appna mu kolega ki main" Aryan said, holding the tongue of the man who was chained to the basement wall. He inched the hot iron closer, making the man cry out in terror.

"I'll give you exactly five minutes to tell me why you tried to kill Bhabhi. If you don't tell me the truth, you're dead. If you tell me the truth but it's not the full story, you're dead" Aryan said, letting go. The man tried to get up, but the chains pulled him back down to the dirt-covered ground. His face and shirt were smeared with grime as he regained his posture.

"I-" the man swallowed hard, trembling.
"I'll tell you everything I know, but please, just don't kill me, please" he begged, desperately trying to wriggle free.

"Then fucking speak up" Aryan growled, pressing the hot iron into the man's leg. His scream of agony echoed through the silent basement. As Aryan pulled the hot iron away, the man continued to scream for several minutes before finally managing to speak.

"He sent me to kill your wife. He told me he has some unfinished business with her. If I knew she was your wife, I wouldn't have dared. He didn't tell me anything about her being married to you, he only said that if I kill her..." the man paused, catching his breath. "If I kill her, he'd give me one million. When I asked what the unfinished business was, he said she knew something she shouldn't. He even gave me some money in advance to finish my job"

So she does know something crucial.

"Did he send someone else besides you to kill her?" I asked, reloading my gun, my voice cold and steady. The man's eyes widened in fear.

"Yes" he replied quickly. "Yes he did, he sent ten other guys besides me and told them the same thing. But there was one guy he said would definitely finish the job if we didn't"

"Do you know any of those guys?" I asked, my tone low and menacing.

"Yes" he began, but before he could continue, my phone rang. I pulled it from my pocket, seeing an unknown number on the screen.

"An unknown number" I said, looking at Aryan. I picked it up and put it on speaker, staying silent.

"I'll kill your wife in front of your eyes. you just watch and enjoy the show, sahil, I mean Mr. Sahil Sharma" a low voice taunted before cutting the call.

I clenched my teeth, rage boiling inside me. I hurled the phone to the ground, smashing it to pieces.

Aryan's eyes met mine, a silent agreement passing between us. We both knew what had to be done next

We had to protect her at all costs, even if it meant turning this city upside down.

No one threatens what's mine and lives to tell the tale.

"I fucking want that number tracked and the guy in one fucking hour" I yelled, rising from the chair, fury coursing through my veins.

"I'll fucking cut him up" I snarled, pointing my gun at the guy.

"You're so fucking dead if you don't tell me who that was" I said, my patience long gone.
