The morning light filtered through the curtains of Raghav's penthouse, casting a soft glow on the living room.

Raghav stirred on the couch, groaning as a sharp headache reminded him of last night's excessive drinking.

He tried to sit up lazily, rubbing his temples.

The muffled sounds from the kitchen gradually registered in his foggy mind.

As his memory pieced together the events of the previous night, Raghav's eyes widened in horror.

He remembered drinking with Samar and, worse, confessing his feelings for Kalpana in front of him.

Before he could dwell on the implications, Samar appeared from the kitchen, holding two mugs of coffee.

"Good morning, sunshine," Samar greeted him with a grin. "Sharab peeke ho gaya ho toh ab yeh coffee pee le aur baad mein yeh dawai le lena."

Raghav took the coffee mug, his fingers wrapping around the warmth. "Sammy, what happened last night?"

Samar raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Raghav, I am straight, okay? Aur tu aise sawaal pooch raha hai jaise maine teri izzat loot li ho."

Raghav rolled his eyes, wincing at the additional pain it caused. "Sammy, muhje already headache ho raha hai, so please tell me clearly ki maine kal raat kya kaha?"

Samar chuckled, enjoying the moment. "Pata nahi kya bakwas kar raha tha. Hindi mein bolta toh samajh aata muhje, lekin nahi, tune toh kasam khaayi hai ki important baatein sirf French mein bolega."

Raghav sighed in relief, his shoulders relaxing slightly.

At least Samar didn't understand his drunken confession.

He sipped his coffee, savoring the bitterness that helped clear his head.

After finishing it, he stood up and stretched.

"I'm going to get ready for the office," Raghav said, walking towards the bathroom.

"Yeah, you do that," Samar replied, his tone more serious. "And Raghav, maybe think about what you're going to do about Kalpana. You owe her an apology."

Raghav nodded, his thoughts already occupied with the damage he needed to repair.

As he stepped into the shower, the water washing away the remnants of last night, he knew he had a long day ahead.

Kalpana was idly sitting in her room, lost in thought, when her mother entered.

"Kalpi, abhi tak taiyaar nahi hui? Office nahi jaana kya?" her mother asked with a hint of concern.

Kalpana looked up and sighed. "Maa, main actually job chodne ka soch rahi hoon."

Her mother's face filled with worry. "Kyun? Kya hua beta? Sab thik hai na?"

"Haan, maa, sab thik hai. Bas kahi aur apply karne ka soch rahi hoon," Kalpana replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

Her mother placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Beta, main job ke baare mein zyada kuch nahi jaanti, lekin itna kahungi jo bhi karna, soch samajh ke karna."

Kalpana nodded. "Maa, aap tiffin taiyaar kar do. Main office ke liye ready ho jaati hoon."

Her mother nodded back and left the room.
