Coming in at number 41 is the largest ape of all time Gigantopithicus. Gigantopithicus was basically Bigfoot. He had long arms that were good for swatting any predator that would be brave enough to attack it. He also had strong jaws that were good for crunching. Some scientists think that Gigantopithicus could be the inspiration for the Yeti and the infamous Bigfoot. The reason for that is that Gigantopithicus lived in parts of Asia during the Ice Age. That's where many "sightings" of the Yeti have been seen. About Bigfoot Gigantopithicus was about the same size but the thing is that no fossils of Gigantopithicus have been found in North America. So with that being said Gigantopithicus is probably the inspiration for the Yeti. Gigantopithicus is one of the deadliest animals of all time.
