Andy paced his room, working himself crazy. He had shot at someone. Something that he thought he would never do. If Karan had not come in the last minute, he could have hurt the man. His hands were still shivering. He could have taken a life. Something that was unacceptable in his books.

He pocketed his hand and stared outside the French windows. The worst part was he did not regret what happened. If the situation came again, he would do the same thing and that scared him more.

He was sworn to defend lives. It was his duty and responsibility. Team Black Phoenix existed for one cause alone, to protect human lives. When he had applied, he was told clearly that though he would work behind the desk, when duty called he would have to offer his services in every capacity. That was the reason why he was trained in defense arts and ammunition, yet he held on to the belief that he would not have to use it.

Now he knew with crystal clarity that he would not hesitate to kill to save a life, and he did not know what to do with the realization.

"Andy" Arjun's voice startled him out of his thoughts. He looked up and ran his fingers though his hair. until that moment he had only worried about the shooting, now he had to think about  away to cover his sorry ass. He as sure that his Bhaiyu knew about what happened. His IQ dropped to room temperature as his mind refused to come up with a reasonable excuse. Arjun walked inside and grabbed him in his arms, checking him over for injuries. Karan and Roohi both assured him that Andy was fine, but he could not rest. He would have come and check on the boy first if he was not so furious with him.

The thought of his Andy firing a gun, in their home did not sit well with him at all.

"Main theek hoon Bhaiyu. (I am fine, Bhaiyu.)" Andy tried to assure him but it was the wrong thing to do. Arjun's eyes blazed with anger.

"What the hell were you doing with a gun, Andy?" He did not even try to reign in his anger. He wanted Andy to feel the heat. Andy was nineteen, it was not the age to play with guns!

Andy gulped. His bhaiyu sounded so mad that his tongue refused to cooperate.

"I asked you a question, Ardik"

Andy flinched. Now that his bhaiya had used the name card he felt completely tongue tied. He felt ten again and helpless. His head lowered of his own accord.

"Neche kya dekh raha hai. Jawab de na. (Why are you looking down. Answer me damn it)"  Arjun hissed in frustration.

"You know I cannot speak when you are so mad at me,  bhaiyu" Andy dared to say it, and received a hard whack for his efforts.

"You cannot speak when I am mad at you, but you can dare to bring a loaded gun into our house, Andy? You assured me that the gun was not loaded, that you borrowed it from a friend to play a prank"

Andy paled. His own lies came back to haunt him.

"Answer me Ardik?"

"I....." He had to pause because his tongue refused to  lie to the man who practically raised him. He sighed and lowered his head again. He would rather take the anger than hurt Arjun with his lies.
