Chapter 37 (Bidding Farewell)

Anastasia curiously looks at the bookshelves and tries to find the labelling of the particular book she needs. The library of her home is huge, therefore it is extremely difficult to find the book of her interest.

Arabella slams the door open, deliberately startling Anastasia. Anastasia glances back at her curiously. But Arabella ignores her. She picks up a folder from the table and leaves library to head upstairs to her room.

A moment later, a startled scream of Arabella rings in the quiet household. Anastasia's eyes widens in concern and she instantly runs towards the stairs.

She found Arabella down on the floor and holding her back with a painful look on her face.

"Are you ok?" Anastasia asks concerned and crouches down in front of her.

"Do I look ok?! Help me up!" Arabella yells angrily but then she yelps, feeling an alarming pain in her foot.

"Sorry." Anastasia whispers and starts to help her up.

"Your sorry is not going to make me ok!"

Anastasia ignores her cursing and pays attention on supporting her balance.

She slowly helps her towards the couch and sits her down. Anastasia gently lifts her feet and removes her shoe to see the injury.

"I think you sprained your ankle." She tells her and stands up.

"I will call someone." Saying this, Anastasia rushes out of there. Arabella coldly stares at her back and huffs a little.

"Stop pretending to be nice!"

Anastasia manages to hear her comment but does not stop moving. She walks out of the library and tells Zeus about Arabella's state who was fortunately standing outside the library now and looking for her.

Few days later****

Anastasia was feeling sad and devastated after finding out that Nora was moving out of the country along with her brothers.

Anastasia was going to miss her bestfriend a lot but she did not try to stop her.

That is the reason why she is currently in Crimson's household.

"I'm going to miss you a lot." She says as Nora hugs her tightly.

"Me too, but I promise to be in touch." It is also hard for Nora but she is doing it for everyone's wellbeing. It is better if she stays away from Anastasia, that person would not harm her this way.

On the other side, William is facing Adriano.

"Is it your final decision then?" Adriano asks him in a blank tone.

William grunts.

"Because you and Dominic are the only ones on whom I can truly rely on, just like my brothers. I know you two will find the whereabouts of Angel and handle everything here."

Adriano hums under his breath.

Anastasia is sitting on Nora's bed and waiting for her to finish her shower when suddenly the door is kicked open, startling her.

"Nor--" Lucifer pauses, seeing Anastasia.

He stares at her for a moment and she uncomfortably looks down in return.

"Where is Nora?" He asks annoyed.

"Umm s-she-- err bathroom."

He rolls his eyes as she fumbles with her words.

"Speak clear, so I can understand. Tell her to hurry." Saying this, he swiftly turns around. He is about to take a step outside but pauses.

"I'm glad that Nora is leaving your company. She does not need such a weakling like you."

Anastasia frowns at his words.

"Have I ever done something bad to you?"

Her quiet words catches his attention. He turns around to give her a good look.

"Yes. Seeing your face ruins my day. Is this answer enough to satisfy your curiosity?" He asks, taunting her a little more. He seems a little too pleased at the thought of aggregating her but she does not show any other reaction beside that same hurtful face.

That is what annoys him.

"Is there something else do you wan--"

At the same moment, Nora steps out of the bathroom, freshly showered. She frowns looking at Lucifer who is staring at Anastasia in a deadly manner.

"Ana....Umm Lucifer. What are you doing here?"

Lucifer looks at her after giving a once over to Anastasia.

"Are you ready?"

She nods and moves towards the closet to bring her luggage. Lucifer grabs them from her after she returns.

"Let's go then."

He lets her walk in front. Nora has grabbed Anastasia's hand and they are making their way downstairs.

Hunter looks at a somber Anastasia as Nora hugs her one last time and steps into one of the car, followed by Hades and Damon.

"Oi, kid!" He catches Anastasia's attention quite easily with his loud voice.

Everyone looks up at him.

"Don't be a stranger, ok. If anyone troubles you, don't be afraid and kick his ass." He eyes Lucifer who raises his brow.

Anastasia smiles at Hunter and feeling a little hesitant, she wraps her arms around him again as a thank you and goodbye because he had saved her and Stefano's life once. He grunts but does not pull away, although he ruffles her hair a bit.

"And he says, he is not a softie." Damon mutters, catching Nora's attention. Nora smiles faintly at the scene.

Finally, after saying their final goodbyes, Anastasia watches as Adriano himself locks up the whole property.

She looks up at the huge mansion with a sigh. It was once filled with so many people. It was their home. But Crimson mansion was now locked. Nobody was no longer here. She did not know whether it was temporary or permanently.

Adriano looks at Anastasia with a trace of faint smile on his face.

"Shall we go home, Sia?" He asks her.

She looks up at him and nods.

Her eyes shows a flicker of surprise when he offers her his hand but she instantly complies.

If not Nora, atleast, she has her family with her.
