Chapter 6: Alone at night/The encounter of the Phantom thieves

(Y/N had just finished packing up his belongings from his locker and departed from the school. Still perplexed by Tae's mysterious invitation, he treaded cautiously, uncertain of what awaited him. Y/N found himself on Takahashi Road.

The road stretched out before him, desolate and devoid of life. Not a soul stirred in sight, and the only movement came from the gentle sway of the trees lining the path. The lampposts stood sentinel, their lights casting elongated shadows that danced like specters in the night, as if whispering secrets to the empty streets.

But Y/N told to himself he is already a grown up, and that he needs to overcome his fears.)

Y/N: Okay Y/N, be brave and follow what Tae said.

(However, Y/N's fear of the dark began to drift away... He pictured himself as the rookie from Halo ODST alone in the dark and the beautiful sax and piano were playing.)

Y/N: You know what, i think i'm okay. At least this night will be the best night i could ever have after all.

(Y/N began to fantasize his imagination of him being the Rookie from the ODST game and the song playing in his mind... But while he was walking, he hard footsteps.)

Y/N: Huh? Who's there?

(Y/N saw nothing, so he continued walking, but the footsteps got closer and closer, Y/N knew someone was following him and luckly for him. A garbage bin was beside him, he jumped in and hid inside. He slowly peaked out and saw shadows.

And to his surprise, he knew he was being trailed. The figures rose into the light and started walking to where Y/N was hiding.)

Sumire: Man, i just heard today that Barricade and the others beat up a newbie and his friend who didn't pay.

Ann: Yeah. Those two jackasses probably deserve that since they didn't pay up.

Yusuke: Yeah, serves them right for getting their butt's whooped in action.

Goro: Yeah, and you know what... i suppose i saw the newbie here, you know the scared kid in school.

(Y/N felt his heart leap up to his throat and realized those people who were in front of him were part of his school.)

Y/N: (Inner monologue) No way!!

(Y/N took a slow peak and saw that they were still in front of him. talking about him.)

Goro: Man this sucks, we should've joined Barricade and his gang on the beating, i surely would want to kick some newbies ass already.

Yusuke: No worries G, we'll get our turn up soon.

(The four began walking away into the moonlight... Unaware that Y/N was beside them, he jumped out of the garbage bin and started sprinting to Yongen-Jaya Backstreets... While he was running, Y/N looked back and saw no sign of them.)

Y/N: Okay, okay, okay Y/N. Just run and don't look back, they don't know that you were stalking them, just keep on running.

(Y/N sprinted so fast that he didn't see signs of them. But to his thinking, he believed they were still right behind him... Y/N didn't look back until he was out of the alleyway and now into the streets of Yongen-Jaya.)

Y/N: Okay, i'm now in Yongen-Jaya... Tae said her clinic is here somewhere?

(As Y/N was searching the alleyway, he finally found it.)

Y/N: Oh, here is.

(Before Y/N could walk in, another paper was in the front.)

Tae: (Letter voice.) Well, well, well... I see that you found my clinic. Come inside dear.

(Y/N put the letter in his pocket and walked inside the clinic.)
