"Thank you for helping me, Kazuha."

The Japanese first-year high school student nodded at her teacher.

"Of course, have a good day."

The teacher smiled, "get home safely, do you have an umbrella? It's starting to rain hard outside."

Kazuha glanced over at the corner, seeing that her umbrella was no longer there.

'Did they seriously take my umbrella???'

"No, but I'll be fine ssaem, I live really close by."

The teacher slowly nodded, "if you insist, there should be extras in the front office though."

"Nae~ I'll see you on Monday, ssaem."

As Kazuha closed the classroom door, she sighed, she'd have to walk alone in the rain, no umbrella since some stupid kids thought it'd be funny to take it from her before she left.

Ding!

Kazuha fished for her phone in her bag, glancing at it as she started walking down the hall.

Kkura-chan: Text me when you get home

Kazuha: I will

The fifteen-year-old replied to her older sister before tugging her thin rain jacket closer around her body. She glanced over as she heard voices from an intersecting all, freezing in her spot.

But she quickly began to walk again when one of them turned her way.

'Shoot.'

"Hey."

Kazuha ignored the voice and swiftly went out of the school's front doors, putting her jacket hood on as she grumbled from how hard it was raining.

She made sure her bag was completely closed so no water could leak inside.

'Maybe I should've asked Chaewon-unnie to not take the bus and walk home with me and just stay over at our place... Kkura-chan could've given her a ride after she finished work.'

...

'No... I don't want to bother her... And Kkura-chan's tired after working...'

"Yah! Where are you going alone on a rainy day?"

Kazuha jumped from the sudden yell, and she started to walk faster out past the school's gates.

'Come on, did I really have to bump into them?? Now of all the times???'

"Look at her running away."

"Where's your older sister? Don't have anyone to protect you now huh?"

Hearing the voices come closer, Kazuha began to run.

"Hey!"

'I should've walked home with Kkura-chan, I shouldn't have stayed at school.'

Water splashed as Kazuha ran down the sidewalk, a few passerby glancing weirdly at some random girl in a high school uniform running in the pouring rain.

"Get back here!"

Kazuha mumbled a few quick apologies to the people she accidentally bumped into, hearing her pursuers' voices slowly creep closer.

'At this rate they'll find out where I live!'

Kazuha glanced around as she ran, the rain making it hard to see.

But she saw an alleyway.

'It's gonna take longer to get back home but...'

Kazuha took a sharp left, 'better than them finding out where I live.'
